Are we really going full-on air raid?

My gawd I hope so, the crap we been tryna do for dam near 20 years hasnt worked.. And bro style crap Mario had last year was most disgusting thing I paid money to see in I dont know how long.. I still cant wrap my head around last year.. WHAT. THE. ****.
so many of you guys don't have an earthly clue what you're talking about. what we ran last year was in no way, shape, or form "pro style." it wasn't even run-first after the first few games. you just see bad offense and scream "pro style." it's embarrassing.

Lashlee was great at the wheel routes and tempo. Would like to see the screen game come back. But all that mixed in with some power running.
One thing I think is forgotten about Lashlee's offense is he actually did try to run the ball with a variety of schemes. We just had 5 dead bodies playing OL so he made a decision to run inside zone and throw it around the yard.

People are full mode knee jerk.
Even Sonny Dykes/Garret Riley didn’t go full air raid.
Most air raid/ higher tempo teams don’t have a power back. But when they do the results are amazing.
Cam Akers went nuts the first few games under Miles until he got hurt.

And tcu last year well..

Shoot, look at the back numbers under Lincoln Riley as well. His backs have always put up solid numbers as well.

The offense will be incorporating panty raid concepts. Check the film.

We should have @LuCane or @Lance Roffers chart the run calls. You know you want to
Ha. I really want to watch all of his games, but I don't have that kind of free time until after Spring ball. By that time, we'll have an idea of what we have anyway. Each time we've introduced a new OC, the Spring game was a tremendous glimpse of the subsequent season.

Anyone remember Enos' first spring? That was scary to watch. One of Lashlee's Spring games, our pass game looked better in the Spring with two young QBs than, for example, it did last season with a player coming off a Rookie of the Year season.

This Spring, the first time I see a WR running in space, I may attempt a standing backflip.

The entire Enos spring game was under center. Brutal knowing its over before it started.

Posters back here were saying they were keeping it vanilla lol.

By now, what you see in the spring or early regular season is 90%+ of what you're going to get.

That’s not how Dawson does business. He had more runs than passes per game in 21 and only 7 more passes a game in 22. Todays air raid uses more run out of the spread than how it originated. L Riley is the same, the run is a big part of his o.

Dawson is pretty **** balanced.

I noticed the run/pass switch between 21 and 22 also. Makes me comfortable assuming Dawson truly does mold year to year around personnel.

I am wondering if we are going the way of Georgia who hired a guy in Monkin from an air raid coaching tree (so I have heard) but he adjusted his offensive scheme to also incorporate power run concepts to fit their oline strengths. Also employed multiple tight ends.

You can get the best of both worlds in a hybrid system that incorporates power run schemes with air raid passing and get more balanced. Mario is recruiting behemoths who want to maul people. Going fully air raid will not take advantage of this and it might turn off the type of olinemen Mario likes to recruit. Any thoughts?

we don't have a talented OL or mulitple TE
