Are we ready to admit Rooster has been a letdown?

Someone remind Miami's Fumble King the goal of the game--to take the prolate spheroid leather-skinned ball down the field and pass through the opponents' goal line plane while preventing them from doing the same. Maybe he forgot. The dude is breaking the wrong records.

Here's the funny thing to me.....

Averaging an awful 3.9 ypc for 3 years - a majority of fans were fine with that. Could easily be blamed on scheme & OL.

It took 3 fumbles in the last 4 games for fans to think we shouldn't be giving Knighton the ball. But can't average 4 ypc? That's totally fine

Jaylon, Mallory, both have had their share of miss opportunities same with some of our so call studs on defense, just not making key stops:
NC first series, JW is sitting right in his gap, NC RB needs 2 yards for first down, JW tackles the RB 3-yard loss, he misses, next play 70-yard TD, as we blow the coverage; 5 star gets truck by 3 stars. Just mind blowing :

The surprising thing about Knighton to me is that his issues are man made. He has the athletic skill, he lacks the want to and desire to work at things that are completely in his control. Meanwhile his best buddy from HS is Restrepo who lacks a lot of the god given skill but out works everyone and has more will to win than anyone on the team. Put X’s mind in Rooster and he is all ACC.

Or are we still handling him with safety gloves? This board was saying this guy would be a Heisman type.

He still fumbles over himself, has ball security issues, and now can’t stay healthy. He was fun when lashlee could scheme him wide open but Rhett is back in Tejas now.

Anyone in the know know of any issues with him?
I wanted to reply with a porst, but I keep dropping my phone.

He's different in that every year he fumbles more often.

Not that much though. He fumbled 3 times, lost 2 as a FR. He's fumbled 4 times, lost 3 as a FR

In Knighton's defense:

- He did hustle to make the tackle on the Duke fumble
- He's taking way more heat than Keyshawn Smith who fumbled on the next play
- Knighton's turned it over 6 times in his career. Garcia just turned it over 5 times in 3 quarters. Which is worse?
