Are Our WR’s Severely Overrated?

Prior to the game, we had people asking who had a better group and most rolled with it.

My answer, on paper they should be good. None of that matters when you can't get them the ball.

There was no time for them to get the ball . Only ppl who wasted opportunities were JT4 and Mallory . Brevin dropped a tough one but he still balled

Yes, they are overrated at this point, but at least 4 of them are Fr or Soph so there's time. I dont think we have one all american level WR in the roster, maybe Thomas and that's a big maybe.

WR1 is a transfer from BUF that arrived here and got the job day 1 no problem with the competition.
JT4 is talented, but inconsistent.
The rest are a bunch of dudes that need to prove they belong at Miami. Martell is already getting snaps over some of them, and posters here are saying the staff is playing favorites, FOH, now the staff is playing favorites?
We don''t have a deep and talented WR room atm, stop kidding yourself

So you really think Tate played so much because he actually EARNED more time at receiver, after playing QB until two weeks ago ? That’s even dumber

Our QB just got sacked 10 times in one game and you don’t think coaches are concerned about keeping Tate happy so he doesn’t leave and leave us with 1 back up

That could very likely be one and the same. If he was a Jr or Sr, I may agree and questioning if he'll get it.

But Christ, he's a redshirt freshman. UF, the first game of the year, is not the game to get a read on them. Give them a chance to develop. Even with freshman playing early, someone showing up like Ahmon Richards is still a rarity. And still, it was mid-season when he took off. It took him a couple of games to get his sea legs.

I know for a fact that Martell has been a QB his entire career and in two weeks of part time practicing the position he didnt just became better than the other options we have.

Riddle me this though. How does Martell knows the WR playbook after 2 weeks but Pope doesn't after a full year...Not saying Martell deserved that many snaps but by all accounts he works hard as **** in practice and does everything the coaches ask of him. Pope may have "talent" but isnt a good all around football player or receiver, plain and simple. Still living off the BS hype of his 5 stars from high school, ******* joke

I agree, the ball has to start coming out a lot faster. Jarren has to learn how to throw the ball before the receivers make their break. And there were times where he simply held the ball too long. I think his completion percentage was a bit inflated because he took sacks instead of getting rid of the ball.
 
I want Enos to give Pope or Thomas a chance on those jet sweeps. Osborn did nothing with it. What happened to Mallory?
