AQM bout to bounce?

Butch is hired and most of these guys stay. All he needs to do is go through a roster of the defensive players he's developed and put in the league.

He's fooling himself. He hasn't produced nearly enough to be considering the NFL. Kid needs to come back and put in the work for at least one more year.

AQM should stay..but he is gone.. He is raising a family... Taking care of his fiance and kid is extremely important to him. .. Artie is gone..as a fan i say he should stay.. as a person..i know he has to go...Grace should stay but he will leave.. he will put up good combine numbers that will be his savong Grace...did anyone catch that..AQM is taking the biggest gamble

Aqm likely wont get drafted. He has only started a few games and doesn't really have much production. If he wants to help his family he would see who the coach is and what he wants to do on defense and then make a decision

I agree... He needs to stay at least one more year to develop. .. An investment of one more would return millions for him

Burns is the only one that should consider leaving. Grace, AQM, and Elder would be foolish to leave. At best, these three guys would be drafted no earlier than the 6th and more than likely not drafted at all...sad whoever is giving these young men advice...

"I don't want to talk about it."

translation- "I've got two more games to play before the season is over. I'm not even trying to think about that **** right now. stfu"

The way this school treated AQM, I don't blame him for wanting out.

And he could've left when he was suspended. You don't blame him for wanting out, then go and transfer somewhere.

He doesn't know who's going to be on the staff. Probably a good idea to wait and then talk to the new staff to see how he'll be used.

AQM has first round measurables, but still needs some refinement in skills. I seriously doubt he'd even get drafted.

Grace has had 3 excellent years at Miami. The only thing that's going to cost him is his measurables. This was the same issue with Perryman. For Grace it would make sense to go and get his money as there's really nothing he could do to better his draft stock at this point. I see him being taken in the 3rd round.

Artie had a spectacular year. But given the death of his mother and having to raise a kid and two brothers, I could see why he's probably gone. He'll do fine and I could see him taken on the 2nd draft day.

AQM needs to seriously rethink his decision. He didn't have a good freshmen year, then was suspended. In the times he's played, he's shown out and proven that he could be an elite pass rusher. But there's little film on him compared to those that are going to be drafted alongside him. Thing about the NFL, they don't like to take chances. And AQM fits that mold right now.

Grace is for sure leaving? That is a legitimate gamble itself. A bigger gamble than when Perryman would have left as a junior. Grace is my favorite player on the team and I really would like to see him do well at the next level. He can really benefit from another year of adding size and showing out under a less reactive scheme. Some people say "well, he won't get much bigger." There can be a big difference between 215 at the combine and 225+ the following year. We're talking a likely 5th round selection or so. Perhaps a 4th like Kwon Alexander. Or, come back and roll into a solid second rounder with a high 3rd round floor.

Difference in $?

Something like almost 5 Million/4 years (2+ million guaranteed) vs 3 Million/4 years (500k guaranteed). The risk can me lessened by insurance.

I Think all of them can play in the NFL, but all 3 will lose serious money by leaving now. I know Flowers and Duke made the correct decision, but a non-RB should not leave early if they are not 1-2 round material.
You have a special perspective, but they won't be helping their families by taking 4+ round (or worse) money.

This. AQM and Grace likely won't even get drafted if they leave.

I completely understand and respect the want and need to supply for a family...i'm sure everyone here does. But if he leaves, is that truly what he is doing? Yes, the next year might be financially difficult, but he supplied with a place to live on campus, food, and other help/resources given to student athletes. If he leaves, he doesn't have that. If he stays, he gets another year of education towards a degree (to support his family) in the event he doesn't play professionally. With that extra year of education off the field, he gets another year of education on the field to improve as a player and make his chances just a bit better to play professionally. The amount of reps, teaching, training at the college level can't be understated. Once you go pro, you don't get a lot of chances, so if you aren't ready, you might not get another shot.
