The way this school treated AQM, I don't blame him for wanting out.

Yeah AQM, leave early and really stick it to UM by going undrafted. That'll show 'em!

Does anybody think anything through these days?

Whatever Pete. Life is hard. The moment someone goes through a little rough patch doesn't mean you tuck tail and run. AQM got through the rough spot and has had his time to shine. Stick it out and make a name for yourself. Don't feel entitles and bitter. Life is hard, you will get screwed many times in life. What makes you stronger I who you deal with it. He's already through the "rough spot" so overcome that and be the better person/player from it.

He can always go on the reality show Undrafted. go ahead and turn pro...make alot less money than staying another year and actually getting drafted

Some street agent got to this kid. He needs to stay. Butch will turn him into a First Rounder.

The next coach will likely have him playing a 5-technique with his hand in the ground. He might have an outstanding year and could seriously raise his stock IMO.

Next coach will have him play DE in a 4-3 where he belongs. That being said, he still needs to nut up and play the run better. He needs to learn to use his hands better to disengage the OL. He has the physical tools but hasn't put it together yet on the field.

Did he say anything else?

Or is he getting dogged by our fans because he said "I don't want to talk about it" in response to being asked about declaring for the draft during the middle of the season?

Perhaps consider that it's a new admin, new coach, new defense and a new chance at looking like the player he thinks he can be.

Going in Round 6 or 7 isn't going to prove anything worthwhile.

He needs to prove it in college more than the NFL needs him. At this point, he'd be lucky to make someone's scout team. He may have the talent, but the NFL has almost no patience and can't afford to wait for someone to develop.

Prior to the season I told you all Artie would be our highest draft pick on the team this year. Providing he does bolt, that'll most certainly be the case. Most picked AQM, not looking good.

Did Pete really say that? If so Pete, what purpose does your comment serve? How would this help this young man?

In any case, I don't think he'd be even close to our biggest loss. Much of what he offers could be replaced - especially in a new scheme. It's really his loss to show out actually playing outside of a Tackle.

We need to keep Corn. I think Artie is gone, but losing both Artie and Corn would be a serious problem.

Corn had a strong year I would put him at 50/50. He definitely will get a feel from the NFL draft advisory board and go from there.

AQM has shown absolutely nothing that warrants him leaving early. He'd be lucky to even get drafted if he were to declare after this season.

For his sake, it would probably be better to stay on for another year to showcase his talents to NFL teams.

He'd be a really big loss but agree losing our 2 CBs would be bigger.

If they do, our CB depth chart would be Mayes, Redwine, Jackson, Henley. Yikes.

DL has a chance to be a big strength. Hope he comes back and shows out. Don't blame him if he leaves thoug
