The Dawgs jump over Bama to #4 and the top three remain the same 1. LSU 2 Taint 3 Clemson. Two teams (Baylor, Minnesota) drop out of the unbeatens. Looks like there will be a fight for the fourth and final playoff spot.

a lot of dumbasses will disagree with you.... but you are correct ... the playoff committee will jump thru any hoops to get Bama that fourth playoff spot if they win their last 2 games without Tua.

Yesterday, the Bears and Gophers came back down to earth .. Cinderella's coach turned back into a pumpkin.

I’ll jump through hoops to see Bama in..they are a top 6 team..so if they handle business and don’t fall apart, I want to see them in. If they look like **** tho, I have no problem with Oregon replacing them

its all about the money ... when Bama is in the playoffs, the ratings are higher and there is much more betting action. easy to understand why the committee will want the Tide at #4 if they win their last two games. The case will be made that Bama's only loss was only by 5 to the #1 team.

also the committee would probably love to see a Bama-LSU rematch for the national championship.

I have zero interest in watching anybody from the SEC aside from the conference champion.

Baga backing in will be a complete joke as they'll be playing with house money at that point after not winning their conference and playing a junk schedule. They get worked in the Playoff and then what? Alllllllll the apologists and cultists will say it doesn't count because Saint Tua was out.

This is why we need to go to 8 teams. 5 conference winners and 3 at-larges. Let the freakin second SEC team take their automatic qualifier from one of those 3 spots instead of ******** two other conference champions. And then we don't also seed the thing so a team from the SEC is guaranteed to be in the championship game (as will happen this year if 2 get in) and thus continuing their myth of conference superiority.

Bama has won 5 national titles in the last 10 years under Saban... only ONE time in 2009 did they have an undefeated season.
the other four years they won ships with ONE LOSS.

Bama getting into the playoffs with one loss is definitely not unusual. this year will probably be no different.

College Football rankings is what counts. But we needed unc to beat pitt and then pitt to beat vt this week.

So VT is ranked. Thanks for clarifying it OP.

Go to 8 teams and you'll magically have 5 SEC teams in the top 8. Go to 16 teams and **** near EVERY SEC team will be in, somehow. They have perfected the art of getting their top teams situated just right.

the most fan support, TV ratings and money in college football is with the SEC ... this should not be too hard to understand even for SEC haters.

I would love to see a Miami VS Florida rematch at the OB that would sell tickets, no one will go see Pitt, UVA or VT lets be honest if I'm part of the OB selection committee I would really think about sneaking Miami into the game if they finish strong, Miami beat UVA and Pitt so both teams should not be ranked ahead of Miami anyways and if VT will get murdered in the ACCCG if they even make it.

Of course but then at least everyone else will have at least one completely objective path in. Let them argue that they deserve two of those at large spots then. Their credibility will take a hit when 5 years pass and their "mighty" conference doesn't win a championship.

Oh it's always about the money. I'm just kind of tired of the fixed outcomes.

you really can't be this stupid ... seriously ... on that other thread the OP linked the COACHES POLL, which does not have them ranked .... is this really too hard for you ? did you even look at the link he posted in the thread ? now get lost
And I posted a screenshot of the page that it links to, and it is the AP poll.

Man, when you're stupid, you double down on it child
