AP Poll

That’s not what rankings are. If you want that just look at win column, we wouldn’t need a poll for that…. You admitted that you think cinncinatti can’t beat Bama or Georgia. So if you were an AP voter, following the guidelines set out in the poll, you would be obligated to rank Bama #2.

You just pointed out the flaw in the vote yourself. The AP voters are trying to have it both ways. Either Bama is #2 or they should be behind all the other undefeated teams. Since the voters just decided to rank Cincy ahead of Bama even though everyone knows Bama would beat Cincy by at least 3 TDs, then the voters are clearly rewarding a team for being undefeated even though they have an incredibly weak SOS. If they are going to reward Cincy for being undefeated, then all the other undefeated teams should also be rewarded by being ranked ahead of Bama.

If that is your logic then why do you agree with Cincinnati being ahead of Bama? It's obviously not resume as Cincinnati's schedule, outside ND, is a joke.

So then you must think Cincy would beat Bama?
Pleas say yes as I need a good laugh today.
It’s a mix of two logics like I said, record/resume and who would beat who. And then they compile points from each individual poll, so some voters have bama ahead of cincy and some have the opposite based on their opinion of what’s most important to them. You’re trying to take a complex aggregate process and assign your own simplified meaning to it

Bro, it’s truly a monopoly. The SEC have the game rigged on rankings, & b/c every game is a “big game” it’s got NFL scouts & recruits on lock too.
But they deserve it
The schools all take it seriously
No Blake James in the sec
If you’re a corch you’re out like lsu

What is your justification for having a team that lost to an unranked TAMU at #3?

So when does a Bama loss actually count in your world? Are all SEC losses excused? Or does an SEC opponent have to beat them by more than 3? Does it have to be a home game loss or is it unfair to expect Bama to win on the road? Do losses to non SEC opponents automatically count as losses or is that also dependent on what time the game was played, the weather conditions, and whether Saban had a good bowel movement in the morning or not?

"Bama's loss to TAMU shouldnt count because Saban didn't have enough fiber in his diet that morning and was constipated during the game. They should still be considered undefeated due to dietary factors."

Since losses no longer count (or is that only for Bama?) and you think that is justifiable for an AP voter, then you must agree with Blake James that Miami should be considered a 5-2 team since most of the losses were very close and the team had a ton of injuries. Since we beat the #18 team and had a bunch of close losses we should clearly be ranked now. If you ran the season back with the team we saw Saturday against NC St then we likely beat UNC and UVA and roll App State. Who would have thought UM is really a top 25 team despite a 3-4 record. You're a genius!

I’d have Bama at 2. It’s not like anyone in college football besides Georgia has been particularly dominant.

If you’re going to lose your **** this much over polls, college football probably isn’t for you. You must have been in an asylum during the bcs era…

Bottom line is this, back when our Canes were the dominant team in college football, if they lost one game, they dropped a bunch of spots. Usually to around 8 or 9. Afterwards it took them forever to climb back up, and have been screwed by this on several occasions from playing in the National Championship game, even when losing their season opener, and going undefeated afterwards.

There is definitely a monopoly that has been hashed out and carefully coordinated between Saban and his butt buddy, the incredibly corrupt Mark Emmett. It’s criminal how they do the same thing every season.

If it’s supposed to be “the best team”, then Miami would have played for way more titles.

To hurdle Bama over undefeated teams means that all of the hard work that these teams put in to get there is null and void.

For that, just put Bama, a 2nd team from the SEC, OSU and a 4th random team every year, in the playoffs, and don’t play the regular season schedule, since we already know how it’s gonna play out.

If I were the rest of the conferences, I would secede from the NCAA. Bob Huggins is already pushing for teams to quit the NCAA as the governing body of athletics in Men’s Basketball, and start their own association. I like the idea a lot. The NCAA is a cesspool.

I hate Bama. But the positive of them being ranked above where they should is they will almost certainly get into the playoffs and beat UGA. Would be funny for them to have cheated so much and spent all that money just to fall short again (and if they can't win this year with the team they have, they will never win another title).
