He was hyped as the savior because he led them to some huge victories. Tell you what. I'll concede it was a bad example if you can tell me which of the two qbs has the higher career completion percentage. Is it the Oklahoma qb who was the savior in 2013 then disappointed his following year or the Miami qb who was the savior and whose 2018 performance is TBD? I'll wait.

I'll compromise your weird rhetorical question into a different one. I predict Rosier will win more than 8 games this year if he starts all of them. I'll predict at least 11 regular season wins. I don't think we'll beat Clemson regardless of our QB, and I think we'll struggle again in a NY6 bowl again. Our defensive depth all around the board continues to be weak, although it sounds like we finally have some quality backup LB's.

How is it a weird rhetorical question? It's straightforward. If you are afraid of answering it because it proves my point, then just say that but don't hide behind calling it rhetorical or by changing the question. You appear to agree that despite Knight's gaudy numbers and big wins, he was not a good qb. Between Rosier and Knight, who has a higher career completion percentage?

It's weird because it's so entirely irrelevant. First of all, Rosier was not now or not ever considered the savior of the football program. Secondly, completion percentage does not equal career excellence. This is college football, not the NFL. Kaaya was a 60% career passer but averaged 7.3 wins per season in an era where 3-4 games per year are cupcakes, conference championships and everyone's in a bowl. That's bad. Rosier won 10 (should've been 11) because he could be accurate when it mattered and because he could use his legs. What nerdy stats do you have for that?

I acknowledge that Mayfield is a great QB, and if given the option would start over all of our QB's. We don't have a Mayfield waiting, at least it's not apparent yet.
 
You can't compare Malik and Tebow. As much as I hate tebow and the terds--and tebow's terds in particular--the guy was a built like mac truck, which pretty much guaranteed them gains in short yardage situations (Cam Newton was similar in college). This, in turn, guaranteed them 3rd down conversions (look it up; they were top 10 the championship year and #1 the year before). In other words, he didn't need to be accurate because he was off the charts gifted in another area.

Malik possesses no such gifts. He is not outstanding in any one particular area pertinent to QBs. He is not a gifted passer. He his not a gifted runner. He is not a gifted scrambler. He is not gifted, period. He isn't even gifted at wearing a manbun lol.

Tebow was a once-in-a-generation college football player (I just threw up in my mouth as I wrote that); Malik can't even dominate the other QBs on his team. No comparison, sorry to break it to you.

I figured you would avoid the question. If it's irrelevant, then you can make that case after you post the answer. I'll ask again, between Knight and Rosier, who has the higher career completion percentage?

Lol, if you can't make a meaningful response to what I wrote, why would I answer such a stupid question? All I care about is us winning football games, I really don't give two ***** what the QB's completion percentage is and how it relates to a random guy who lost his job to a Heisman trophy winner. Last year was the best year for me being a Canes fan in over a decade, and yall were miserable AF. Feel sorry for you guys.

You keep avoiding the question. Sad. I wasn't miserable last year, it was a great year and I want 2018 to be better. Qbs who are inaccurate tend to not have sustained success. "Clutch" is also an observation bias and is demonstrably random for a given player from year to year.

What Really Defines a 'Clutch' NFL Player?

Just because Rosier was clutch in 2017 has zero bearing on whether he will be clutch in 2018. So you have to look at the actual performance data, and the one metric most directly tied to qb success is completion percentage. I can tell you are a very emotional person who thinks that gut feeling is superior to data. I have no issue with that, people like you are what makes value investing in the stock market possible, so thanks.

Fourth time: who has a higher career completion percentage - Rosier or Knight?
 
FSU final drive. Some say Malik needed a last minute heave to win the game but it wasn't quite that dire. Malik looked calm under fire. Not a pretty drive but effective. Malik rushed for 450+ yards last year. Not adjusted for sack yards.

I was as hard on Malik as anybody the end of the season and was hoping 1 of the FR could unseat him but with all the hate he gets from **** near all of our fans, I hope he can take the next step and has a big senior season. Not banking on it but would love for him to prove all of our "fans" that are rooting against him, wrong.

Ultimately, I'm going to support whoever Coach Richt selects for the job though. All of these other agendas are tiring.

It was posted in response to your claim that he had "no semblance of accuracy or anticipation". Do you take that back, or you just want to change the subject?

We don't have a QB on the roster that I'd feel comfortable with against Clemson. Our OL got worst and their DL got better. Didn't Kelly Bryant complete about 80% of his passes against us and then 50% against Bama? But yeah, it's all on the QB, the one guy who has balls when the pressure is on. No one gave Rosier a chance throughout the whole year and we ended up winning 10 (should've been 11) games. I'm just glad we're talking about ACC titles and CFP games and not talking about winning the Coastal one day like we had under our far more "accurate" passers. This all happening by the way, despite Hurricane Irma causing weeks off of practice, no bye week, and displacement of the team for weeks. Can't imagine how softy mcsoft would've handled that kind of adversity.
