Anyone think we still haven't seen all of Dawson's playbook?

Lets not compare any TEs to bowers or what he’s done because uga offense is built around him

Saying a room is being wasted only 4 games in is a bad take

And why tf do we care so much about this, our offense is humming this whole te **** is just people nit picking. If the wr room is being featured more now then that’s just is what it is…But besides that the TEs have been open but they just haven’t gotten the ball, dawson just not gonna say hey this drive throw to the TE lol there are different reads every play
The past 4 seasons (2019-2022) TEs have accounted for 20% of receptions, RBs 14%, and WRs 66%. We're a third of the way through the season and the TEs are accounting for 5% of receptions, RBs 3%, and WRs 92%.

It's not too early to notice that the backs and TEs are basically a non-factor in the passing game. Maybe there will be a sudden uptick in TE & RB targets, but that doesn't seem likely. You don't recruit elite receiving TEs to pass and run block or you won't be recruiting them for very long.

I agree the TEs are open, but they're not getting the ball because they're not the 1st or 2nd read. If your TEs are being targeted only because there is nobody else to throw to (which is what it has been so far) the TE is not important to your passing game. And if your opponent knows that you basically only throw to receivers, you're a lot easier to defend.

One gripe I have is lets rotate our RBs within a drive instead of just designating one RB per drive outside of obvious passing downs. Starting a drive with Parrish and sprinkling in the battering ram Chaney would really wear down defenses IMO.

It's not about taking WRs off the field, they do it all the time in 12 personal. It's about presenting something different.

Especially in the redzone. You literally just have to split him out wide and make a basketball shot and tell Skinner to go get it off the rim. That is unstoppable.
In our 12 personnel we’ve seen 84 & 88 split out to block on screens, quick game, or run depending on looks. We’ve seen our 12 personnel with 88/84 attached/shrunk & again we’ve passed or ran out of it. When we’ve gone jumbo (3tes) it’s usually an extra Lineman we put in. Our slots 0/7 or frankly more dependable at this point. I’d trust 4 on a jump ball situation because we’ve actually seen him go up and high point the ball multiple times..in theory you make sense given 23 length..but we haven’t seen it in a game at all, as you said he’s a true sophomore. Let’s let him get better..if not and he transfers, so be it. But his clock is clicking because there 2 dawgs on his *** In Williams and lofton

An offense cant do EVERYTHING and with the results we have gotten they dont have any incentive to change. We have been a TE centric offense for years and havent really gotten anything from it. Got no problem highlighting the WR in an air raid scheme that will cause high interest in top WR and QB recruits.. It is what it is, their role in this offense is to block or Mario will throw a 80s number jersey on an olineman to do the job for ***** and giggles..

The Wr are producing and the offense is humming, no one will care if the TEs dont eat, so no reason to even bring it up. There is a reason Cam was bought in and he starts day 1. He will block and know he not getting any targets and is good with that. Also we dont know if any of the TE have TVD phone number, that is another angle many didnt think about.. Restrepo got to eat!

I can’t believe after what we did last year mfs are complaining about the offense lol like bruh what

Yea I dont get it. Cam Starts, he is primarily a blocking TE, they arent really gonna design plays for him, he might get a bone here n there but it is what it is. Even the catch he had against AM over middle, TVD had to double clutch a pass he was gonna force to a double covered Restrepo before he thought better of it and looked for him wide open over middle.

What kinda OC tries to get a blocking TE catches, :ibis-roflmao-sm3:.. We top 10 in a ton of metrics but lets switch it up and get ******* blocking Cam the ball.. Maybe if Arroyo ever comes back the same then you could have an issue, until then its a non issue.. We already know what it is and its working so no reason to complain, some players will transfer to better situation for them and it will be best for all parties.

That may precisely be one of the plans that Coach Shannon has set up, but why show it in any game until it is useful at the right time?......
It's all a strategy of planning here, and on games that count this could be a plan that comes into play.

Wait until arrroyo comes back. We should see a three TE formation which should be fun. We will also scheme for each of our remaining opponents and exploit their weaknesses. Once Jeremiah is in came uniform (ha) next year along with the other WR we will be putting Dolphin numbers up (could not resist)
