Anyone agree that Virginia Tech will be a battle? 11/21

It will likely be a dog fight..

Is that some sort of veiled Mike Vick reference?

Every game will be a dog fight if we don’t come in with the right mind set.

We can dominate or let a couple slip away easily like Loservjlle and SMU

Listen man, if this was 2023 or 2024 and this same situation was playing out (Big Game James to VT), I could kinda understand the concern. Kinda. PTSD is real and some commenters have exposed themselves (pause) as having PTSD. Much has changed since then and it’s evident through two games that perfect execution at all times is our goal and we are real close to achieving it thus far. So with the exception of any of our armed service vets, if you have Cane PTSD at this stage, you my friend are likely also missing your balls. You need to grab a hold of that empty walnut shell looking coin purse of yours and take a good look in the mirror and say “I will not be a scared wus.s any longer. I am a man, balls or not.” Say it loud. Say it proud. Squeeze that empty sack and keep repeating u til you feel the genesis of new testicular growth.

Side note: To the actual armed service vets, you guys are the true heroes and I mean absolutely no disrespect about PTSD - just trying to embarrass some porsters

You don't have to be from Cincinnati to be like my man here to be a BigDikDaddy. You just have to carry yourself that way and drop the purse.

They will give us a game, our guys will enjoy the challenge. Should be fun to watch. I'll predict the score after they;ve been challenged and we know what they got, who's healthy, etc.

My user name isn’t truthful. I’m not really from Cincinnati.

My night terrors are split 50/50 between Afghanistan and 2003-2023 UM football.

I couldn’t find an appropriate reaction button for your comment. So I’ll try using my words. First. Thank you for your service. I mean that. Second, I found some humor in your comment (it’s funny), yet I also feel bad about the other half of that PTSD you mentioned.

I think that’s deep enough for this evening or else I’ll need to take my own advice and stand in front of my own mirror.

I don't think it'll be a cake walk, but I do believe our weapons and overall roster are going significantly to overpower most everybody we face.

Pitt will be the battle, ND the War
Wanted to watch Pitt against Ucf to get an idea on them. Game was a disaster monsoon where they scored 12 points. My opinion is that mason will take some risks and is gonna be really solid this year but not elite. We should be able to stop their ground game as well

VT might be a top 25ish power rating team but this Miami offense should be able to produce against anyone, and this time I do not expect the Miami defense to have issues like the '24 defense that melted down against motion and eye candy.

On average even all-time championship teams tend to have one or two close games so you never know.

I remember that Boston College game vividly because I was panicking the entire game. Remember, back in those days with only two teams playing for it all, one loss could literally mean the end of your season. You’re right though, there’s not many great teams who go through the entire season without having at least one close game. The only team I can think of off-hand that went through the entire season without a close game was that 95’ Nebraska team(IMO the second best team I ever saw after the 01’ Canes).

Would be great for us if they can come in 8-2 and ranked. We need all of the SoS and "good wins" we can get. 9-1 probably isn't out of the question for them with their schedule. We'll see how they look against Maryland, that will tell me a lot more about them. But aside from that, SMU on the road is their toughest test. Clemson is down worse than I even thought they were and GT isn't good.

All that being said, they're solid and they're usually fired up to play us, and we've played them closer than we should have many times on the road and at home. Have a hard time seeing them come into Hard Rock in what will likely be a primetime night game with a great/loud crowd and leave with a W. I would say 14-17 point spread on that one.

Would a VT "good win" get us into the CFP if we go 11-1 and either don't get to the ACCCG or lose in the ACCCG?
