Any of Ya'll Cat's nervous about this game?

I don't like that they play a Mickey Mouse trick offense that our defense hasn't necessarily had a ton of reps against.

Not worried about being on the road or that they are "focused" because of losing last week or about the Roster v Roster matchup.
I’m not nervous because our defense doesn’t seem to be smoke and mirrors. Like in 2017 or last year. I think we knew eventually we were getting exposed defensively.

Maybe I’m being a blind homer. But I’ve watched more CFB this year than I have in a long time. Our defense is sound. Their offense can be tricky. But it’s beatable. I truly believe we have a generational performance tonight by our defense.

Every week you guys are so disappointing

It will be this way until Mario wins the ACC and some playoff games. It’s been over 20 years since Miami won anything of significance.

I took my testosterone shot on Thursday and will go for a long walk this morning. I will feel more confident come game time that Miami handles business.

I have watched a lot of Malzahn while at Auburn and he beat Saban multiple times. His offense is good enough to win games but coaches have caught up to him. It’s about turnovers for Beck. If Miami wins the turnover battle I think the defense can catch up by the second half and anchor down.

FSU may score early until they adjust to the pace and movement. Heatherman will need to keep his guys calm and focused.

Miami should dominate time of possession and by the 4th quarter start to pull away.

My only concern is Miami has not trailed all year. What happens if fsu jumps on them early. Who are the leaders that will step up

I do agree with the Beck concerns. I would counter with this, he brought UGA back to lead at Bama last year after an absolutely horrendous first half. And had them within striking distance of winning the game.

I’m not saying the book is out on Malzhan and he’s easy to stop. But we’ve got some absolute dogs in the front seven. We gang tackle like our lives depend on it. FSU has not played a team near our physicality all year long.

I’m just pushing all my chips in on this team tonight. You want to win a title? These are the games when you leave the field 3 hours later everyone says you’re clearly the better team. That’s what I expect to say at 11 tonight.

Of course, because it’s one football game and anything can happen. I’m very confident we’re a better team and that will be confirmed over the course of the season, but it’s a small sample size.

Was Ohio state better than Michigan last year? Just a little. They lost, at home, as a 3 touchdown favorite. **** happens. So I’ll be nervous for almost every game, especially one on the road against at least a decent team.

But I do firmly feel if we play clean, we win. 1 or less turnover, and it’s on their end of the field. At least even on specials (no horrendous gaffes, blocked kicks, muffed punts etc). And we win.

If, at the end of the day, we have 1 turnover or less and we don’t have weird **** happen, I think we win. But weird **** happens. It’s college football.
^THIS. Me nervous but I always get nervous.

Go ‘Canes!

This is a “someone tell me we roll” thread and almost noone understood the assignment

Hopefully Miamis defense doesn’t follow suit

When was the last time there was a big upset in this series? I'm not talking them beating us when Manny gave up 4&18 or when we beat them with Jarren Williams the year we lost to FIU or the Colin McCarthy game.

But there hasn't been a team favored by as much as we are (-4.5, although it got as high as -6.5) and ended up losing. The better team always wins.

We are the better team. Period.

Cons we are on the road rivalry game against a gimmick offense. Pros on paper we are better at every position group. They just lose to a team that threw three pick and still put up 46 on them. If we execute on offense this might be a blowout

Yes, because I still don't necessarily trust our defense against this kind of offense. It's been decades of ACC teams successfully running this garbage against them, so I need to see that they can finally deal with it.

Not only am I not nervous, after hearing this I'm ready to put on the pads and go hit someone. And I was alive for the 1984 Orange Bowl. I'm really gonna need some of yall to find some testicular fortitude, because ****.
