Any of Ya'll Cat's nervous about this game?

Nervous, nah, I don't get nervous about college football games anymore. It's that or we just haven't been worthy of being nervous about for two decades. Who knows.

I think we'll win if we play a clean game. Turn the ball over and it can go either way.

Lastly, it's the FSU game. I learned long ago to set expectations to the side and just hope you come out on top at the end. We've seen too many crazy results both ways for it to ever make sense. That's a rivalry game for you though, strange outcomes aren't ever that strange when you look at the totality if the series.

Here’s a secret. When the reason is that one team can win because “it’s a rivalry game”….bet your *** that one team is waaaaaaaay better than the other. Notice that the narrative (from those outside of Tallahassee) isn’t “man, FSU does *this* really well, Miami better watch out”. Or “man, FSU has these players, how is Miami going to match up”? That’s not the narrative outside of Tallahassee. The narrative is “Miami is the way better team, but anything can happen in a rivalry game”. That **** is code for “blowout”.

Maudes ban me, give me an infraction, I don’t give a **** but Miami MOTHER *******

Tomorrow.

Pussies.
You know what kills me about the rivalry take, aren’t both teams rivals. Why tf is just FSU getting up for the game? Everyone is saying, it’ll be closer than people think. Watch out for that one. FSU is scary coming off a loss. I don’t remember a media blitz attacking a T3 team like this ever before.

Belt. To. ***. If this team is serious about winning a championship. Beat the ever living **** out of them.

I don't like that they play a Mickey Mouse trick offense that our defense hasn't necessarily had a ton of reps against.

Not worried about being on the road or that they are "focused" because of losing last week or about the Roster v Roster matchup.

I guarantee everyone in this thread will be shïtting their britches at kickoff.

Y’all can lie to yourselves though, I’m not hating.

I don't get nervous about Canes games after the Syracuse debacle last year.

I'm enjoying the ride, but I fully expect us to drop one at the most inopportune time.

Of course, because it’s one football game and anything can happen. I’m very confident we’re a better team and that will be confirmed over the course of the season, but it’s a small sample size.

Was Ohio state better than Michigan last year? Just a little. They lost, at home, as a 3 touchdown favorite. **** happens. So I’ll be nervous for almost every game, especially one on the road against at least a decent team.

But I do firmly feel if we play clean, we win. 1 or less turnover, and it’s on their end of the field. At least even on specials (no horrendous gaffes, blocked kicks, muffed punts etc). And we win.

If, at the end of the day, we have 1 turnover or less and we don’t have weird **** happen, I think we win. But weird **** happens. It’s college football.
The best team does not always win.

Officials make horrible calls

Officials do not call blatant fouls

Easy catches are dropped.

Secondary assignments are blown

Tackles are missed

Players have off days

Players have the game of their life

Yeah, anything can happen in one football game. The best team usually wins but not always.
