I doubt his 40 time was anything special. Route running, feel for space and good hands, trumps straight line speed every time.

I was told 4.55 - 4.6 range. I wish people knew how fast that looked when you run great routes. People have no clue.

Davante Adams has been killing NFL DBs for a decade running in the 4.5 range because of his route running. You don't need to be a 4.3 guy to be elite.

It’s a legit question, but btw, 40 times are so misleading now. 40 times and game speed vary wildly. I don’t know enough about Barkate’s game other than watching the UVA game and wondering why no one could stop the white WR lol.

Thats what so hilarious about our fan base over the years. Our defensive and offensive lines sucking ***…and most would be about how many wide outs with sub 4.4 40 times we had and running backs with same speed with no lanes to run through…

The 15.4 yds/catch is all you need to see. He is plenty fast enough.

None of the top receivers on our team had an avr better than 13.9.

Now-did the QB have something to do with that? Probably.

Speed/40 times? We know he was Mensah’s favorite target at Duke but is he like Restrepo- good route runner not so much a speedster?

You really gonna do this? The young man has balled out everywhere he’s been. Hes got over 2,300 yards and 18 TD’s in his last 2 seasons, including 1,200 yards and 7 TD’s last season.
