Any friend or family members played College or Pro football....

Cousin was a 5 star recruited by Larry Coker. Ended up playing for Urban at Florida. He played NFL. Brother and more cousins played in the CFL

Paston Hinzey...we call him Brandon. He transferred there from Carol City. That team was really good.

Didn't know him or see him around much, but makes sense that he wasn't there (at Norland) long. Also never noticed that the QB was a transfer from CC that year. He got bailed out a ton by Duke. Was at both Championship games (2010 loss and the Glorious win) -with the band ofcourse- and that Jefferson loss that motivated Norland to sweep 2011 was very similar to Canes 2001 who knew they should've won the Natty the year prior. Dudes were focused as fck and on a mission for revenge. Wakulla got caught up in that and molly-***ped. They got walked up and down the field after the first quarter was competitive outside of a Duke TD. Duke was a madman throughout the playoffs in 2011 and the 3 TD comeback win against Palmetto will forever be engrained in my memory of how great this dude really was, and how lucky I felt to watch him play. It was also awesome watching a great game for both sides when Norland played against South Fort Meyers....Dallas Crawford and Sammy Watkins would make a wow play and Duke would do the same. But let me stop rambling.

Nah I'm from Cocoa. Hurley Brown hooked me up with him to take him to Miami with me.
That’s what’s up. No matter how his Miami career ended up, I’m proud of lil bra for how far he came. He couldn’t get into a proper 3 pt stance his entire first year of playing football

A bahamian legend..his son even played in the nfl for almost a decade. @Silver King

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alex_Smith_(tight_end)

He was tall, stout and had a huge reach and the only guy that out quicked me in 4 years. I was undersized and made a living (or survived; how ever you want to look at it) by quickness and getting into the defender like I had a rocket up my butt. He was as quick off the D-side of the ball. They lined him up over each of our five O-lineman. Our LT was 6'8" and 285, biggest starting OT in the NAIA. I was RT 6' 190, smallest starting OT in NAIA, fortunately they liked him in the middle and I only had to contend with him for 8 or so plays. Our QB said when Smith lined up over our center, he looked up as he got under center, and Smith was in his stance and smiling eye to eye with him.

I remember the next time we played them at Colorado College, he was already with the Broncos. We were eating in their cafeteria and one of our O-lineman got a bent fork, yelled at us to look, held it up and said, "I got Ed Smith's fork!"

I ran a corporte yacht for most of a decade and was in Nassau for a few days in 1990. I met a guy working at the Casino in Paradise Island, and we were chatting. He looked about my age, so I asked him of he knew Ed Smith, he said "Oh yeah! I went high school with him. He's the head of security here." He was off that night so I missed him, but told the guy to tell him hello from an old combatant. See his son was raised in Denver, so not sure if the guy was telling me the truth.

Former jets kicker Don Sylvestri used to be a good family friend.

I met Terell Pryor and 2 other players when I used to bartend in Boca, he was playing for OSU at the time and just got suspended for the scandal, already knowing that I jabbed him and asked if he was making the trip to Miami that year (they came down that year) and he mumbled how he was suspended and couldn’t come lol. He actually came in with the booster who paid for everything for OSU’s best players, fun times.

Met mark Ingram a few times too, super nice dude.

I’m a basketball coach and made friends with one of the refs, he turned out to be Kevin Garner, the infamous player from the Stanford band play, where they said his knee hit the ground after the lateral. Also a really nice guy. I’ve met a bunch more but can’t think of it at the moment lol

Do you mean Dwight Garner? I played at Laney College in Oakland with many of Dwight's high school teammates from Skyline HS.

My God brother played DE and DT for UM during the golden years. Played for the giants led them in sacks during preseason. for a little bounced around the league for a few years.

My son played for Andre King. Won 2 ships with him as coach and met Ed Reed and Reggie Wayne when they showed up at one of our games when they were town for Ed's birthday.

Yeah that’s who I meant, I have no idea why I wrote Kevin lol, but yeah the one who they were arguing that his knee hit the ground, Fixed the OP, thanks

I'm friends with Jim Wilson who played on the 2001 National Champs team.

I helped Najeh Davenport with his UM documentary, I created some music for it. Was weird that I was getting phone calls and texts from Najeh lol.

Nobody in my family has every been a particularly good athlete.
Well, I had a great uncle who played on the Cuban national baseball team pre Castro. When Castro took over he put him in jail.

I knew a couple dudes who played at UCF in the late 90's but nobody would know who they are unless you were at UCF in the late 90s.
