Antonio Crawford upset

Well Miami can almost certainly write off any future players coming from Tampa Plant HS, after this and what happened with Robert Marve. The HS coach up there is didn't' seem like a big UM guy, but not as bad as the Armwood HS coach in his dislike for UM over the years. Good thing the talent in Tampa is now heading to IMG Academy as well as spreading out throughout Metro Tampa high schools.

Go Canes

Best of luck? Dude quit on The U "cause coaches weren't treating his *** "like gold" - just silver. I say Frenk him.

I would normally agree with this, but given Al's horrific record at losing some many players every year you have got to start shading everything in favor or the player now. Especially since Al excuses his recruiting misses by saying his recruits are "high character" types. Al could not even keep Flowers a fourth year. Olinemen usually play 4 and sometimes stay 5 years. Instead kid takes enters daft early in year loaded with OTs. And, you can't blame an agent for it cause he doesn't have one. How many years of a bad locker-room are you going to blame on players?

Once Crawford quit he magically became better than Howard, Burns and Corn. He's a quitter and that has nothing to do with how bad Golden is. That logic might be too much for some of you though so carry on.

Al's turnover rate is horrible. In corporate world dude is fired two years ago for that alone. These are not Randy's kids running for the hills. These are Al's carefully selected pillars of high character kicking dirt in his face. This not our worthless administration intentionally destroying the program. This is all Al. He is a control freak and has nobody to blame but himself. And you can probably and Chocolate to the list eventually too. After working so hard to barely get in, was any kid more needing of a redshirt year to get a little meat on his grades and a couple extra credits? Nope, Al burned his shirt for a few plays and some ST time. Come on. Al brought me to tears with that moment with Lewis on the field years ago. Now he has made that seem like a mere photo op. Maybe we blame Al for everything now, but he certainly has earned it by not being able to keep players or get rid of bad coaches.

Utterly ridiculous to pretend that Flowers leaving for the draft is a knock on Golden. No matter how much you hate Golden, that's just a ridiculous conclusion. Flowers left early, as expected, because he was projected to go in the first round.

Jeaysus.. what would you guys have done different than Al? Make this guy a full time starter? Who do you send to the bench? Im curious.

play more nickel and dime packages when the opponent goes 4 or 5 wide like any normal coach. i would be ****ed too. only rarely have more than two corners on the field even in situations that call for it meaning the other guys that would normally be in the game are sitting the bench. have you seriously not noticed that?

Alfredo can still suck with Crawford being the type of player you don't kowtow to too. He's "good" at best. Enjoy Morgantown. No hard feelings but couldn't care less either as we'll probably have bigger issues than a lack of DB depth because the 3rd best member of the secondary bolted. Sure, it's probably indicative of larger issues with this staff but in a bubble losing Crawford is nothing to lose any additional sleep over.

Losing one of your top corners when your corner depth is already terrible might not be something for fans to lose sleep over, but it should interrupt the sleep patterns of the guys whose livelihoods depend on stopping the other team.

It obviously doesn't or they'd have done a better job in recruiting DB's. I'm just saying that in relation to next season it probably will be of negligible effect in the grand scheme of things.

I'm onboard here.

What difference does it make. *** is running a sub .500 system. He can plug and play any athlete at any position and still achieve sub .500.

Numbers and pattern of behavior give plenty of excuse to blame Al. Add that to kids connection to Duke and reasoning gets better. You can bet the bank that if Flowers had stayed, Al would have had a press conference claiming credit-- again that is his pattern, remember. Granted, Al would not have taken any questions from the press after a backhanded slam to Duke and mom, but the photo op would have been there.

Can you tell us at what number of desertions does the blame swing to the commander? Al's attrition rate is worse than his defense. If you still want to blame each and every player, then factor in these are all Al's players now, so can we blame his horrible judgement in recruiting? Or is Al just on free ride forever? Man gets divorced once and blames wife. Okay. Five divorces later and maybe it is his fault. So give Al the 1st 50 or so, what then?

I defended Al for 1st three years. Heck I even have an embarrassing signed photo of him because of it. But at this point, he could be my son and I would say fire him now!!!!!!!

When coaches put friendships above the program and players this is what happens. Blake James protects golden, golden protects Dorito and Paul Williams and not a single ****ing adult looks after these kids.

The school, the program and the adults that run the show from top to bottom are are disgusting.

Post of the Year!

According to Matt Porter, All Golden said the A. Crwaford issue is an internal matter.

So I am thinking Golden gets it worked out with Crawford an he remains a Cane, especially considering UM needs dB's badly.

Go Canes

Everything with Golden is an "internal matter" SMH!
Okay, I have an "internal matter" with Golden myself. This idiot makes me sick to my stomach!

Blaming Golden for real issues is fine. Blaming him for EVERYTHING is beyond stupid. Flowers was told he'd go in the first round of the draft. As the vast majority of players do when told this, he opted to enter the draft. Flowers decision was no different than that made by countless underclass players around the nation every day, under every coach from the worst non-Power 5 coach to Nick Saban.

Doesn't change the fact that Crawford was a solid contributor but not better than the other CBs. His playing time was what he earned. He wasn't going to unseat Gunter, Elder, and Howard. You and the others in your blind hatred would have attacked Golden if he had Crawford starting over any of them. I bet you blame Golden when you stub your toe or lose your keys. Lots of real things to criticize him for, making stuff up is just childish.

Learn to like him he is here until 2020.
