Lowe hasn’t played a snap, lightfoot is LIGHT and just a pass down specialist at this time.

Pickett hasn’t done anything. Sroghins has played like 50 snaps.

If you call that depth then you are completely lost. Blount is a DE and if they love him to DT Miami will need to grab 2 DE in the portal as they would need some starter level players.

That de room is depth at every other room in the country. We will still be elite on the dline in 26
 
I expect them to move to more of a 3-3-5 look next year. Lightfoot will be fine as a pass rusher in that scheme. Just need a base end and they should be able to get that in the portal.

Our fans anoint players before they really make any noise or just flash. This time last year, Lyle was going to be the next great Miami RB and we weren’t going to need a portal RB.

The early returns on 25 are encouraging but outside of Mali, none of them have proven anything yet.

So, we havent seen immediate contributions from bryce fitzgerald, moore, upshaw, pringle, and simpson ? Of course not to same effect as Toney but weve seen other freshmen make more than a play or two.

I said fans per usual are jumping the gun. They have certainly flashed, some(Bryce and Pringle) more than others. These guys showed they belong on a P4 field thus far but hardly enough to start plugging them in as major contributors next year. I cited Lyle as the most recent example of this.

I doubt Moten stays after this year. We will have Scott, Simpson, Jones so we will definitely need 2 in the Portal IMO. Blount can be DE/DT for pass rush

We should see a nice jump this Spring from Russell. He has looked better than expected in his limited snaps this season.

Will definitely need to bring in a veteran DT, and hopefully this is one of the last years we need to desperately hit in the portal at the position. It's been nice to see Mario and crew loading up at the position in this 26 class. It would be nice to see them continue to flood the position with talented high school options rather than having to be nearly perfect on your hit rate in the portal for expensive mediocrity.

Injury contributed a lot to Lyle situation. But I know we will still double down by bringing in portal guys no matter what as insurance for just what you described.

Someone like Pringle can really make a statement next week against a solid Pitt team on the road with the playoff on the line. I think him and Bryce are the two that are both on the verge of making a statement as freshman. 0 and 8 are out at safety and Pringle is playing well.

He hasn’t gotten snaps in 2 games, while being 100% healthy. Did the injury slow him down yes, but it has nothing to do with who he is as a natural runner. He runs the same way that he ran last year, even in the flashes that Lyle showed he also showed weaknesses. Those same weaknesses are still there, so it’s less about the injury and more about who he is as an overall runner. He needs some serious work with his vision.

Moten is a day 3 pick at best IMO.
He comes back, he'll get paid and will be 1st ACC and improve his stock. Our interior is looking beautiful for the the next couple years.
Edge is loaded but you just don't replace Mesi and Bain with stars.
Btw, Lightfoot looks bigger to me.
I think he could get up to 240+ next year.
 
The unknowns: lowe and Charles plus if we land a Tank Jones type.

Inside, I think we will be ok so long as the 3rd year kids take the step as expected.
