Michigan, Georgia, Bama all are physical and prioritize the trenches but that doesn’t fit the narrative on this site.

I don't agree with him at all. You can look no further than to Jordan Travis who looked awful in his redshirt Sophomore year after transferring from Louisville. Got beatdown by us in the 2020 game. He was booed by their fans. Considered a position change. Now he's an NFL draftable QB. It just annoys me how we set limitations on players. Especially young players.

Tired of putting labels on players and putting them in boxes of what they are capable of. When will it stop? The young man started 2 games his true freshman year and now the experts have forecasted his ceiling. Same thing as Jaccuri. Both started 2 games where they should have redshirted. Because they were not freshman All-Americans, they are now labeled with limitations.

Same thing with Flagg. A kid that was placed on the field early because of the lack of talent in his position group. He was crucified by the fans. Now, he's one of our better defenders. If he had redshirted and never saw the field until his redshirt junior year, the opinion of him would be totally different. That's how I look at players. How are they after 3 years into the program? Then you have a good idea of who they are.

Not to sound like a nope, but reality is that IF we do part ways with Dawson and go for another OC. It’s more than likely that he won’t be hired until closer to spring ball (end of February and into march). Which is waaaaay past both signing days.

But Mario’s pitch is just, “trust me, I’ll bring in the right guy” So far, he hasn’t and no valuable portal QB is going to want to take that gamble on their future without knowing for certain who it will be.

X has one quiet game and now we wanna sit him for a kid who only runs 1 route... like Restrepo hasn't been killing DB's and averaging like 8 catches every game. 🙄

The issue isn't X versus [insert receiver]...
The issue is NOT HAVING ALL OF THEM ON THE FIELD AT THE SAME TIME.

The fact that we have kids like Brashard and Joseph sitting on the bench in favor of plodding TE's that aren't a receiving threat IS THE ISSUE.

Offenses need a receiver like X. He's the best route runner, has the most reliable hands and he's the best blocker.

You put a kid like him on the field with a quick guy like George, a big guy like Young and an explosive guy like Joseph/Brashard and now you're cookin.

I don't wanna see TE's on the field until we find one that's actually a threat in the passing game.

1) X misplaying the first punt. We get pinned inside the 5 instead of ball at the 15. Led to punt out of our End Zone, FSU had short field and they scored 7 on next drive. 7 points.

2) Missed FG: 3 points = 10 points.
3) Coleman punt return: les to Coleman TD catch = 17 points.

We got 3 points on a horrible drive after failed onside = net 14 points for FSU.

Been saying it for a while. We need a dedicated STC.

Haven’t had 1 since Randy Shannon was the coach. Joe Pannuzio.

None under Golden, Richt, Manny, and now Mario.

We have special teams mistakes every ******* week.

The problem is the NCAA only allows a certain number of coaches. Our last one I would say was Hartley and he was TE/ST.

No one really dedicates a coach to that any more with all of the rule changes. We have a ST coach that is a current analyst.

Mario needs to convince Kiko, (Cohen, Rivers unlikely they forgo NFL), JW, Kam, LT, Hunte and Lee to come back. If some on the O-line go, I feel confident in what Mario & Maribal have to fill in (McCoy, Rodriguez at C, Kinsler, Pancake, etc).

Most of us were also looking at it objectively when it came to winning against UVA & Clemson and losing to GT, NC St, etc. Continued horrid performances that win or lose, you can’t ignore.

It would be one thing to have your point of view if we played a murderers row of teams. We didn’t. We played a garbage ACC schedule and still performed that way and are 6-4, with bad losses and bad wins.

1) Who is using a draft pick on Jordan Travis?
2) We need to start winning. We don't have 3 more years to wait for a 24-year old QB to be a decent starter;
3) If Corey Flagg is "one of our better defenders," what does that tell you about the depth and top end talent on the defensive side?

Whenever there is an opportunity to upgrade, you go for it. We need a portal QB for '24 and '25. It's not negotiable.

You’re not wrong but it also doesn’t have to be either or, physical vs Mike leach air raid.

We all know Saban and Bama adapted and that’s when their offenses really took off and helped their Natty run

Georgia somewhat did the same with Stetson Bennet and Monken

I agree that to win a Natty you absolutely must be physically and run the ball

But it’s not at the sake of creativity and production

Which is why I’m so down on Dawson. He’s Mark Richt level of predictable

Honestly don’t think the schedule is that garbage this year. This is Miami’s hardest schedule in a long time imo. This will be what the 5th ranked team we played this year vs Louisville?

Yesterday's performance was not bad. Miami had a chance to tie at the end, on the road, without the benefit of a single turnover. The teams were not far apart talent wise.

The problem is that the head coach and quarterback already threw away two games before this one. That's the frustration. This team is clearly improved across the board and yet we are positioned for another November nightmare. The players are deflated and the QB is spiraling. - While the talent gap has closed (and Miami has the advantage at several spots), FSU has a major advantage in terms of impact skill. As @Cribby noted, Miami lacks difference makers and explosive players even beyond scheme issues. We need more explosive runs and one-on-one wins at WR.

- Respect to Frank Ladson for the play of his career. He went and high-pointed the onside kick and took a huge hit in the process.

- Jacolby George was probably the second-saddest person in the stadium when Emory went down. He is continuing to develop and was getting looks he doesn't see with Tyler Van Dyke. If Van Dyke is going to start salvaging his season, he will need to find George like he did against TAMU.

- Francisco Mauigoia is having a monster year. 54 tackles, 15 TFLs, 6.5 sacks and an INT. We need to keep the Poly pipeline going in the Portal.

- Damari Brown and Jadais Richard showed physical ability and hopefully gained some confidence against two future pros. Brown and Richard are huge for the future of the DB position. One or both may even grow into safeties. I expect Miami to chase an impact corner or two in the Portal.

- Mark Fletcher missed some holes yesterday. He seemed amped up. We need a bounceback next week against a Louisville team that is Top 10 against the run.

- Unless someone runs out of the back of the end zone like Dan Orlosvky, we may never see a safety again.

Frank's play there was so big. Almost perfect execution. You could see we were not expecting it, but he made a huge, huge play there.

You're response has 100% zero to do with my post. My post is about labeling players and setting the ceiling on who they can become which our fans have a nasty habit of doing. That has nothing to do with who will be the starter next year or down the road. There is literally nothing in your response related to my post. I said nothing about waiting to see how a player develops other than the fanbase putting labels on them.
