His video to follow up on the classless Friday tweet reinforced what he said in the Friday tweet. He has no class and is more emotional than a teenage girl.

D$ continuing to show class makes him look even worse.
 
So reading between the lines with my tinfoil hat on, Pete got pushed out because he was too much bad cop to D$'s good cop?

How much do we think the program and the university had to say about this? Probably some, especially if it was unexpected.

My two cents? The contrarian takes were necessary and important. If I wanted only good vibes, I'd go read the UM website. I agreed with a lot of his takes and think they were necessary to create interesting content.

Not taking shots because I appreciate his hard work and love the content, but on a recent podcast, D$ wouldn't even say the name of our linemen who got their *** kicked in the ACC Champ Game against Clemson.

If the site cannot be critical, it is going to lose a lot of its appeal.

This is all stupid. But now you have options. Pete's got a podcast now, right? You can have one or both. Enjoy.

I love CIS but you can tell DMoney is in much tighter with the current leadership than past staffs. Even when things weren't going so well with Mario, the criticism was kept to a minimum. It make sense when you consider he quit his career to go all in on this website. Access to the team and information is valuable and literally how he puts bread on the table, so he cant afford to risk losing this access by being too critical and alienating his sources.

If you been paying attention you can tell the information released on CIS since this shift happened is "approved" by leadership. I cant remember the last time a story broke or was leaked on this website that was not aligned with the official UM message.

That's why CIS is called State Media/propaganda. Pete is immature as **** but at least he gave you something different other than "everything is great".

That announcement had hurt feelings all over it.

I’ve noticed that too. Is 247 sports like that too or do they break news over there?
 
CIS provides a great forum to discuss our beloved 'Canes - is free if you wish, and imo is much more civil than in previous years due to some legit moderation (I gather). A pleasure to frequent.

The YouTube shows are professionally done, relatively, and include intelligent, insightful content/conversation DAILY (underrated aspect). Yet they are also somewhat homerish in terms of analysis of the program/roster. A reminder as if we needed one that in this world CASH IS KING. Hopefully this doesn't reach Zagacki-Bailey proportions with Pete's departure. Ariz, though douchey at times, gave his take and most often didn't suck. I like his new material a lot, though I suspect he'll have difficulty sustaining the excellence.

All in all, I'm thankful for this community, and daily insights provided regarding the program. As an 80's kid I never imagined we'd have this kind of forum(s). As for balanced reporting, well look no further than CNN & Fox news. It's just the world we live in. The journalistic aspect of being fair & balanced no longer exists. $$$....
