And with this victory over CCSU…

I completely get where you are coming from, but I need to remind you of 1999. We were struggling horribly on O with Kenny Kelly, who was a fan favorite. In comes his backup who quite frankly saved Butch Davis. That loss to ECU in 99 was as ugly as just about any loss Diaz has had, and I know Diaz has had some whoppers. People were turning on Davis in a big way after that loss. Then the blowout at VT happened. People were getting antsy, to say the least. In comes Dorsey and the rest is history.

No, I do not think Diaz is a great coach. However, a QB that can throw to all parts of the field, and makes solid reads, makes a really big difference. I'm not saying either Garcia or TVD can do what they did today against ACC competition, but I am saying they did it against CCSU. I remember back in 99 when everyone was saying, "Dorsey only did it against Syracuse and Temple." Yeah, but he did it, and it carried over.

For that reason I will hope we light it up from this point on. If that doesn't happen and we come out and look like we normally do, then by all means, let the losses pile up until he's fired. As a fan, I want wins first. Not just wins, but wins that show we are heading in the right direction. Let's see what happens now. Give it at least a week.

Just stop...this is nothing like 99.

This program is at a crucial crossroads right now. There seems to be a lot of people in the media and surrounding the program FINALLY realizing that Blake is the problem. We NEED that AD to get replaced with someone who actually cares about football. You do that...and the dominoes start to fall into place with a better coach, a better program, which leads to a better record, and ultimately gets you more elite recruits.

A college football program is like a wheel.....and ours has had police locks on the spokes for the last two decades. I'm tired of it and at this point ONLY care about change where it matters most....one level up from HC.

I'm rooting for anything and everything that gets that athletic department torn apart. Period. Rooting for losses is actually rooting for what is best for the program right now and I won't apologize for it.

Good way to tackle..good win with a short week ahead…that attitude and a short week hopefully equals a win Thursday and a start to something…We will see if this win will B what the doctor ordered for Thursday and the rest of the season…

No need to give it a week when 5 days will suffice.

Manny Diaz was scorched today by Game Day and the media is spreading so except for the Brinson catch he gets no mileage out of today compared to the scorn he got. If we see changes and beat Va soundly then he might get less heat.
You can just see the look on Mannys face wandering the side lines all game, he knows he is done.

I can't stand this board after a loss and I can barely stand it after a 70 point shutout win.

I hate to say this to everyone, but the ACC is still wide open. And Manny isn't getting fired if he wins the coastal. All you Canes fans better hope for some losses ...

If it gets the Cleveland Browns to take Manny off our hands then I’m all for it

We beat the spread!
We beat the spread!

I mean, how many times has Manny done that, right? Guys?

Don’t worry fellow Cane fans, you don’t have to choose between rooting for the team or against them. This team is lead by Manny Diaz, who is a combination of all the incompetence of our previous four coaches packaged into one lisping gas bag. Don’t let this win against the University of the Sisters of the Blind fool you, Manny still has to face a vaunted bye week plus all of his road games. This is a daunting terrifying task for Manny and his look confirms this. He’s done and with him Blake.

IMO he would need to run the table and we know that’s going to happen we will drop 2-3 more games we shouldn’t.

Pretty much...and I'm sick and F'ing tired of it. We need that admin department blown up and built up correctly.

I'll say it again, NOTHING matters more right now for this program than that.
I admire your stance, you are fighting the wrong fight.
It must be against the Administration.
Rooting against the team will not 'root' out the Rot festering in CG.
Total Apathy is where i am, bought a UM cap?
You feed the beast.
To see zero attendance at the Rock that is a start..

Ok Don Bailey Jr

I assure you, I've been a diehard for the last 40 years and am probably one of the older posters on this board. If YOU can't see further than 5 yards in front of your face and realize that THIS is the most important moment where CHANGE might actually come if we lose some games......then YOU'RE NOT A CANES FAN.
Got ya by about 15 years. I’ll never root against our Canes. As the season plays out, Manny’s incompetence will be further exposed and hopefully set wheels in motion for change.

Then you just don't get it. My fight is 100% with the administration but it must be run THROUGH the product on the field. Unfortunately, one impacts the other. I stand by every word I said.
