An opinion about Jess Simpson from a Georgia resident!!!

Checks off all the boxes for a troll:

* has canes in his name
* uses the cane name in some grandiose fashion, Ike #1 all time canes fan, or ultimate canes supporter, or in this case, a cane for life
* drops the all too familiar, I’ve been on here for years but never posted before

Now, not saying he’s definitely a troll, but he sure is checking off some boxes with this post.
I've been here for years and hardly ever posted.

Must have played against one of Simpson’s teams and got your butt kicked. 164-12 record and your not sure he can coach?
My school actually gave him one of his last losses. Keep in mind it was Trevor Lawrence led. Buford was already good before Simpson became the head coach and they will always be good long after he is gone. Buford always recruits the best athletes in metro Atlanta so they will be fine. Buford also played in lower classifications for the longest. They were 3A school forever with 6A and 7A kids on their roster. They have just now moved up to 5A due to a new rule GHSA created due to the amount of out of district kids attending their school. Buford will always be good but a lot of the bigger schools would beat Buford as well.

Make no mistake, friend. They hired him to recruit too. It’s at least 50% of his job, and he’s going to do a great job of it.
Oh no doubt about that. Just saying, that was not THE reason, if you know what I mean. There is little doubt in my mind he will be a better recruiter than Kuligowski. Possibly much better. Kuligowski was a one trick pony. Simpson will be a guy that works his way up the ladder, not settles as DL coach, and that makes him a huge addition to the staff. He's a well rounded, full of potential type of coach. He will recruit, coach up the D-line, and more than likely bring more to the overall D than Kuligowski did.

You are so full of ****! Your broad statement lends itself to your agenda. You are making it seem as if Buford was a powerhouse before Simpson's arrival.

Fact: Buford has 11 total state championships in the history of their program that began in 1946. From 1946 to 2000, Buford had one state championship, in 1978. That's 1 championship in 54 years.

Fact: From 2001 to 2014 Buford won 10 championships. 7 with Simpson being the head coach and 3 with him being the Defensive Coordinator/D-Line coach.

Fact: Buford has not won a state championship since Simpson left the program.

Can you imagine it around here if Ol' Icee (or any other local "legend" hs coach) was a legitimately competent coach AND had spent a year with the Dolphins (AND they had a coach as competent as Quinn) AND Curby scooped him up as a positions coach? The collective meltdown would've resulted in a mushroom cloud of tears and angst visible all the way to the Canadian border.

The trolling is going to rise to epic proportions this season. I’ve said it before that a chunk of bama’s recruiting and now uga’s is spent on trolling. They all know recruits read this board. Trying to sound positive while throwing kidney shots.

Ol Uncle Puke would have been gushing and posting pics of him on Twitter giving Kirby reacharounds .

Said the same thing a couple days ago. If FSU hired a HS HC from South Florida, who won 7 state titles in 10 years and was highly thought of enough to get hired by a Super Bowl HC, the fake ***** on here would be e-flop sweating over it from every sissified key on their malfunctioning keyboards.

Interesting take OP, maybe a bit of a reach. But the way the Dogs choked on that NC bone, with that god's gift QB and big lead, at least the timing is good...even if we only have him for a couple years. Nomsayin'

Theres the evidence then when he left they sucked, means hes a recruiter IMO because when recruiters leave the program cant win if they replace them with non recruiters.

We have averaged 2 recruits from Georgia under CMR, about 8% of our last two classes, so far 4 very good recruits, if he can keep that up and free up CMR to do other things, from a recruiting perspective a good hire, if he can increase the number to 2 very good and a super recruit (guys that are going to Ohio State, Michigan, Clemson, etc today) then a great recruiting hire. But his job is to coach up the DL and secure the 2019 and 2020 guys that are committed or close to committing. Now if Diaz leaves and he proves to be a super coach then he can slide in.
