Makes sense that the knowledge of this, potentially, probably, happening caused us to shy away from a number of other talented p4 cornerbacks.

It's been said before in this thread, but we signed those dip****s instead of Pat Surtain II, Tyson Campbell, and Josh Jobe (who was once committed).

Obviously we wanted those guys, but we couldn't convince them to come. Thankfully things have returned to their natural order.

Lololol this isn’t a development. This is the organic outcome of knowing whom to recruit in your backyard since @gogeta4 coached them in youth football, Duasso scouted them for 7x7 teams and @Coach Macho coached them or against them in High School. That can’t be replicated.

When a Junior in High School grades out as a nationally ranked 5 star with high 6 to possibly 7 figure NIL and rev share agreements available to him when he’s in college, there is a life altering financial incentive to graduate early. Given the attention they received for years from Mario’s staff that no other program could match, given proximity and parental comfort with having their boys play under Mario, Miami when it’s winning is the logical place to go.

I’m not even sure Canes coaches want them to graduate early, especially when they learn late in the cycle after having put a huge effort in landing other recruits. But these special talents are always plus one, you find a way.

this is correct.
For example Tre Dopson likely is a cane without the reclass...but i get his reclass as he proved himself already was physically ready and UNC provided well in NIL..get in there..

That’s a really good one. Rhodes was a **** of a player. Athletic as **** and physical. I can see it. Obviously Sears isn’t 205 or whatever Rhodes wound up being but he’s, what…15 years old? I dig this one. Rhodes was **** good.

My comp for him is

Antonio Cromartie.

Like Xavier Rhodes playd wr at a high level as well

About n inch shorter n skinnier...but i feel he can progress to that level
