To all the cats out there in CISland who are leery of our chances of landing Mims and consider the whole situation "fishy" due to an immediate lack of offers for a stud kid, I offer this for you to ponder upon.

Maybe he doesn't care who offers him, he sees a wide open door to a starting spot. A starting spot on an O-Line coached by Alex Fuccin' Mirabal and headed by Mario Fuccin' Cristobal. You know these young jits run on their short-term memory, so playing for the dudes who coached the #7 overall pick in last year's draft(who was a 5 star also) just might be significant to Mims. Combine that with our QB & RB rooms.

We all know the portal is worked through the back channels. Maybe the kid already politely told his ****-ton of potential suitors to go fucc their faces because he's gonna pull a Sewell on South Beach. IJS...

Cracks me up because this was filmed before CGI was invented.

Meaning this stunt was real. Some dumb ************’s grandpa really stood there while that **** fell all around him 🤣
I didn't even think of that. I don't know if it's been done but a documentary or something on the first stunts and stuntmen in TV and films would probably be pretty interesting.

Facts! The 5 star center that also entered the portal was on campus 3 years and never played a game. And guess what? They couldn’t care less because they land top guys every cycle.

That’s been our problem for a decade. We haven’t stacked talent. We land one top guy and put all our eggs in that basket for 3 years. Jeff Thomas, Mark Pope, Leonard Taylor, and so many more.

We’ll know we’re back when we normalize landing elite guys every year at every position.

Yup, exactly.

When you recruit like them, Bama, OSU, and a few others, losses like this don't matter much. They have two guys like him ready to eat that spot up when it's available.

I responded to someone saying Searles was there and it's good he got out when he did. Guess what, he's going to look far better than he did here and that's because he's got a **** load of talent to work with. Our best player under him, they've got 10 guys like that at Georgia. So does Bama. So does OSU and a few others.

Not only that, they're loaded across the board at all positions at the elite schools. OL is down a bit this year, the backs pick it up. The QB picks it up. The WR's pick it up. The TE's pick it up. The OC calls to their strengths. They're still going to look better than 99 percent of the rest of college football. A bad line at Georgia is still better than 99 percent of the rest of college football.

Saban reloads talent yearly and coaches. Are they all the best coaches in the land? Some are rehabs, some failed elsewhere, but they get to a Bama and all of a sudden figure it out?

Talent trumps most things. When you stack it like the elites do. Combine that with good coaching to even great, you stay an elite.

It's our time, if the recruiting ramps up with the wins increasing. You can't do one without the other.

I did forget to say I hope to **** this young man comes here. The most impressive thing to me is how he moves at that size. We've been **** poor with pulling guards and tackles through the years. We just haven't been very athletic and nimble at the position. He's a day one starter if he comes and will take whatever spot he wants. If he wants to be a LT, you let him fight for it.

A bad line at Georgia is the difference between winning a National title or just being a playoff team.

A bad line for Miami is is the difference between barely being bowl eligible vs. having a chance to make it to the ACC championship.

Talent is everything. That’s why my biggest question with Mario is how good of a recruiter is he truly? Can he be our Kirby Smart, and stack top 3-4 recruiting classes back to back to back or is he going to recruit at a Brian Kelly level, more in that 6-9 range?

Both scenarios are infinitely better than what we’ve done in 15 years but there are levels to everything. Mario is going to get us competing for conference championships soon but if we’re going to be a real force and compete for #6 he’s gotta recruit at a top 4 level every year. It’s all about the Jimmies and Joes. Scheme will only take you so far
