Amari Carter

every time he gets ejected manny goes on interviews and defends his hits. that’s why he probably doesn’t correct it

Never seen anything like this while watching football for 60 years. The fact that this kid continually throws his team under the bus and Manny can't correct it tells us all we need to know. INCOMPETENT LEADERSHIP FROM BOTH WITH NO ACCOUNTABILITY!

He's been a huge disappointment as a player.

If he asks for an extra year, as this is a 'free' year, Diaz needs to quietly usher him out the door.

Leave Amari alone. He's distracted trying to figure out if he's voting for Bush or Gore and dude has tickets to see the Ying Yang Twins. Gonna get some major *** there too when the ladies see his new Nokia cell phone.

Does he really even want to play? Or is his goal to get kicked out of every game as soon as possible?
What is wrong with y'all, that man is playing football the way it's suppose to be played, it's not his fault these ****'s done softened the game up, it's only so much adjusting some players can do from a physical standpoint, ***** these soft **** borderline bullshat! He'll, the called keontra smith for targeting in the Clemson game when he hit trevor. That man Carter been taking em for June.

In all seriousness, he needs to be stripped of that “C” on his jersey and relegated to STs and spot duty.
Why, for playing hard? If this was 5 years ago we would be celebrating Carter. His natural instinct is to lead with his head. He needs to train himself on coming with the shoulder.

In all seriousness, the kid isn't doing it for selfish reasons. I mean he absolutely HAS to change the way he plays but one could understand how that's not only tough to do because you're then negating instincts and slowing down to think (until your body/brain/muscle twitch becomes trained otherwise) and scary because he probably thinks his style of play is what got him here.

This is all probably even tougher in the modern era of limited contact in practices and then even moreso with the limitations this particular season.

But it is what it is. Kid needs to change sooner rather than later or he's not going to have to worry about it at all.

What sin is worse? Carter getting ejected repeatedly for hitting dude hard or some of these soft-assed receiver pretending to go up and get the ball?

Amari Carter may get a bad rap but the kid has a reputation for just clobbering dudes coming at him--and I respect him for that. That is kind of his job, right. Keep the secondary safe and hit a dude to remind him he's there and to go another route. It's not football smart to bust a dude in the helmet in this era, and some might argue there is a moral obligation or a sportsmans obligation to not go after a helmet, but football is a high contact sport and there are going to be collisions of helmets. The game has changed where Carter has not and let's be real, these targeting calls are *** as ****. Secretly, you may not admit it but the hard hitting style of Carter is the way you want the game to be played, even if there is contact with the helmet. Carter is the embodiment of a Hurricane from yesteryear and he would be racking up accolades back in the day. When it comes down to it, I'd rather have a Carter who hits hard and gets ejected than any of his softassed teammates. Remember that when you **** on him.

that guy wants the rest of the schedule to know, "i'm coming for you b*tches I don't care I don't give a f*ck, heads are gonna roll"

start him for the rest of the year

I would allow him to transfer immediately. He’s a liability at this point, and more importantly, a risk to himself and others. Let him find a coach that can help him.

Carter is now a senior and he is what he is—Carter isn’t going to change. Actually, his habitual targeting issue is not my biggest problem with Carter. I wish he could miss fewer tackles, cover better and get an occasional interception.

His “natural instinct” leads to 15 yards and a first down nearly every game. This isn’t 5 years ago. Dude is a senior captain and hurts his team every game doing the same thing every time. The time to learn to lead with his shoulder was year 1.

And it’s not like some he’s a world beater at safety where’s he’s making plays every game. He’s probably a below average to average safety in our scheme who’s better off playing striker. I’d much rather him sit the pine pony and us not give up a free first down and have him available if Hall or Bolden get hurt or need a breather.
