Amari Carter

Targeting needs to be refined because Carter isn’t out there launching or spearing players. The intent of the hit has to matter. The personal foul on Jeremiah Payton is much more intentional then carters play and the kid should have been ejected.

They should penalize carter and a second should be an ejection. The rule is unfair at this point.

I’m gassed up that Amari won’t play next game cause if the suspension. Now we will have our best two safeties playing the minutes they deserve. And balom backing them up. Maybe even a little Gilbert. Who knows. But we have two weeks to figure out what we do back there. But take solace in knowing that our walking 15 yard penalty won’t be back there

The NCAA rule is ridiculous. It states leading with crown of helmet but does not have to hit helmet to helmet. NCAA rule hit the hip with crown and it can be called.
NFL rules specifically say head and neck area. Lower hits legal

May have changed as I have not looked it up in couple of years

Who said he won’t play the next game? The ejection happened at the beginning of the game.

Until proven otherwise, he will be sent right back out there to do it again with a big C on his jersey.

And I don't like how defensive holding is interpreted, but it's the rule and you have to live with it.

Enough of these "the rule isn't fair" arguments. Carter knows what he can and can't do, yet he continues to make questionable hits that get him ejected. He's a liability and his playing time should decrease accordingly.

I heard he has three targetings so now he has a 1 game suspension

Say what you want, he’s probably our best tackler. Our tackling is hot garbage, especially in the backfield. At least he’s near the ball, I’ve never seen a safety be involved in fewer plays than Hall.

I don’t see the comparison there. He just like Keontra on Lawrence are trying to make violent contact with getting their head across the center of the target. Intent matters. Especially when he isn’t launching.

Here is what the Big 12 refs allow. 44 got in his face and gave him the "close your mouth" sign.

What discipline is he facing from Diaz after it happening yet AGAIN?? Is anything else imposed on him other than not playing and if not, WHY NOT? (perhaps running the steps at Hard Rock until he drops would help) Is he uncoachable? If so, why is he playing? The refs are looking at him right from kickoff.

Bolden and Hall should lock this dude in a closet and beat him for hanging them out to dry like this. We were already down one safety in Balom and Carter gets ejected on the first defensive snap, making these two play the entire game

I'm going to be honest here. I don't even know what constitutes a legitimate tackle anymore. I see it all over college football, targeting, targeting, targeting. Carter has had his fair share for sure of dumb plays, but there's ones that it's just football. WTF are you supposed to do in some situations, let them catch the ball, get settled, and then tackle? Man, this isn't the game I played.
