Amari Carter - any news?

He doesn’t need to see the field at all at safety ever again in his life... I dont think he’ll be a good LBer either but based on the lack of talent at that position it makes the most sense for the staff to tell his *** that’s ur new position, or the bench, or portal.

I like amari carter and i cant wait to see him and the rest of our secondary excel.

have him play the flats in cover 3. Send him off the edge 2nd and long and other passing downs... and replace him when we go 2 high. 👌🏾

Also. Sacrifice him for a half if we need to send a message to the other team. He has a real knack for zeroing in on his target.

I don't see Carter at LB at all. Very doubtful on is ability to shed blockers. Maybe put use him for 3 and long specialist for coverage

Striker maybe but is he better than Gil or anyone else we have?

Went from can't getting kids to stay to can't get them to leave...

Carter seems like a good kid. And he'll take your head off...He's just limited and not going to change. And I don't trust that Diaz will have the balls not to play him over all our young safety talent.

I think a reserve role and maybe some special packages. When Manny was DC in his early years under Richt, I remember him having Carter line up over the Center. He takes bad angles and looks lost in space, but on long distance downs when you still need a thumper he has a role.

I think he can find a niche at LB/striker given our current situation. I'm going to wait till new staff assesses his abilities and make a positional determination.

They used him quite a bit as an in the box safety/striker/blitzer in situational plays and I thought he did great. Then all of a sudden, coaches think he's a Sean Taylor center fielder? Makes no sense. Guy needs to play close to the LOS. Period. He does that, targeting calls will disappear - virtually.

he needs to embrace the STs demon role and maybe learn some LB to maybe get some hybrid time in the NFL

Pepperidge farm remembers when guys like Redwine and Knowles were ridiculed unmercifully and then became decent players their Senior Seasons and made some plays... ....making many people around here look stupid in the process.

I wonder if that can happen again with Carter..
