Yeah but our guy is actually qualified. Swann was just happy to be their Highsmith would be doing us a favor. Long history with the Packers now with the Browns new regime.

Been vocal about this already, but I think it’s an ok idea that at the very least makes way more sense than hiring a clueless nitwit like Blake.

It COULD end up paying dividends, but hire the best man available for the job period - alumni status/previous affiliation with the university be damned.

I'm not one of those that ever wanted him back here as a head coach, I feel his time in that capacity is coming to an end ala Richt. However, I'm intrigued by the thought of him overseeing the program from a higher altitude.

Highsmith was a scout for the Packers and is now improving the Browns. He has a resume that fits the position.

I'm not totally opposed, but would rather hire a successful AD. I don't think the job is that complicated, but also don't think you want someone who hasn't been on that career track just jumping in. Love for AH, though.
