We are all delusional if we think that outrage of hardcore fans will make a difference. Most people are casual fans and really don't follow this **** just like they don't follow politics or how ****ed the economy is. They are too wrapped up in their own **** to give a ****. I was camping last week and watched the game with 8 other people who couldn't understand my total disgust with Guldens. They were like you have to support your team no matter what. I tried to explain what we all know and they were like deer in the headlights

Oh baloney, most of us were concerned in one fashion or the other. The guy inherited a mess. I think he fixed some things administratively and it looks like he's created a bigger mess in other areas. He's been given a full 4-years to make progress. His team absolutely collapsed the last two games. If Miami finished 8-4 and won 5 out of the last 6 games, then a lot of folks wouldn't be happy but at least Hecht had an argument for retaining him. Right now they have absolutely none. He needs to be dismissed because right now he is a dead man walking.

What has Golden fixed administratively? Because I don't see it. More players leaving the team than Shannon, more players arrested and round about the same recruiting. What has he fixed?

Administratively, the adding of a training table and nutrition, which was long overdue. More rigor in weight training and weight gain. Now you can argue that he's ballooning up guys too much to run his hybrid 4-3, but the emphasis is there. You watch, our seniors will do well at the combine. Opening up camps to greater numbers to expose high school kids to the program. More outreach to high school coaches for training. Moving spring scrimmages to other venues around South Florida. The whole 3 Penny marketing campaign for exposure for recruits is brilliant.

Regardless of scheme recruiting and the high turnover has really been his death march to dismissal. The fact that he and his staff values out of state kids over local kids is unbelievable to me. I get the Shapiro deal and its impact on recruiting, but I'd rather have a 3-star from Booker T. or Norland than some kid from New Jersey or Ohio. There are plenty of those type of kids who would have loved to play at Miami. The fact that he is losing 25% of his classes within 12 months of signing is also unbelievable.

That's exactly what we're in store for. TedHendricksOffspring mentioned in a thread recently that the administration thinks the fans on social media and message boards are bluffing with their level of vitriol directed towards Al Golden, Blake James, Shalala, the BOTs, etc.

They have no idea how ugly this is going to get. If they think things are toxic now, just wait until we look like s*** in the bowl game, watch Golden try to scapegoat a few assistants to save his own ***, lose blue-chip commits like Scarlett, Bruce, and Williams to hated rivals, see the woefully average 2015 recruiting class fall apart, and have zero recruiting momentum from February-August for future classes because the administration retained a lame duck coach.

I haven't seen any "slurpers" or frankly any body that wants Golden to stick around. The whole battle of "slurpers" vs "mopes" was a lie. I think what you had was a group of people that wanted to believe we would have a good season so they got behind this team completely and a group of people that were still angry about the last two seasons so they would not be positive about the team. Now the season is over, it was a failure and the whole fanbase is united wanting a change. I think our best hope is make life so difficult and support so sparse that the ACC starts to rethink the value of having Miami be a member. We need the threat of getting Templed out of the ACC to force movement. Those conference $$$ have enabled them to abandon winning and only the loss of them will move them.
