What are your thoughts on losing this class to retain a new coaching staff.....

Is it worth the price in the long run?

Auburn had 3 top ten classes before chizik left and Oregon is successful because of their system that they are still running.

I would be OK losing some players from this class IF we were getting a better coach..not sure we would be doing that with the REALISTIC possibilities that are out there. Look at our history of hiring either co-ordinators (Davis) or smaller program HCs (Golden, Dennis, JJ)....think anyone we hire maybe promising, but unproven like Golden himself.

In all reality Butch as hc, orgeron as dc, keep Coley would not be a bad start. Yall grow a sac, that 01 team was not full of 4 and 5 stars just **** good coaches

No, not worth the price, not THIS year. We DESPERATELY need these guys. We NEED this crop of players. THIS is the future that will help ANY new coach compete. We sacrifice this class, and we are starting from scratch, we will be having the same arguments 3 years from now.

I mean if you told me it was a LOCK that we were goign to get an A list guy, a TOP notch coach like a Nick Saban type, THEN MAYBE I would say F8ck it. But there is NO WAY we are getting any kind of coach like that. We are going to get another mid level up and comer like Golden. An unproven coach at the high levels, who will have to start all over building a staff, rebuilding the recruiting relationships, and putting in a new system here. And with who? Ryan Williams, Crow and Olsen whose high on weed all the time? Kaaya will be gone. We will probably lose Yearby. Leaving us back to having to rely on Duke. There is almost NO upside to losing Golden THIS year. Not if it causes this class to unravel. this class is TOO important. Yearby, Kaaya, Valentine, Thomas, Jenkins, Barrios, Hester, those guys are TOO important to our future to lose, not for some dude from Northern Illinois or Fresno State.
 
For all those who want Golden gone, what you SHOULD pray for, us for him to STAY this year, KEEP this class in place, and then go next year. That would leave the next coach a nice stable of talent to compete. Not only would our future be much brighter, but it would make the job much more attractive to better coaches.

Golden leaving THIS year would be a disaster for us.
 
You all act like all 28 commits are automatically leaving if Golden leaves. We might lose 6/7 guys but the majority of it would stay intact.

Ha - and then we have you idiots screaming for his head after 3 years, even when EVERYONE said they would give him 4-5 with the **** storm he inherited. Oh, that's right…I can't bring up the "cloud". Shortsighted idiots have downplayed that enough to lose all validity lol
 
And not even just the "cloud" - lets not forget the drop in talent and depth that Golden was graced to come in to.

We dont need all those players buddy. All the experts in here have deemed it so. Some new superstar coach is going to come in here for the HUGE salary were going to pay him, less than Wake Forest actually pays, and he's going to have us in a BCS bowl next year. We dont need this recruiting class, any old bunch of JAGS will be just fine if we have a good coach.

Well, according to the experts we don't need them if Golden leaves. Losing all of them isn't that big of a deal. But if Golden stays, and even one of those kids don't sign with us, it's an utter disaster for the team, we won't recover for years because of the loss of that player, and Golden is an absolute failure at recruiting. That's just how it works around here.
 
No worries. Our future HC will take care of everything BRO!!

People want golden gone what???? Man just brought in a top 5 class with a avg team what are you people smoking?
 
Majority of these players are committed to UM not Golden...A coach with ties to UM could keep this class together, the NJ recruits could be a challenge to hold on to
