He might not have delivered fast enough on the present for some of you but he is working on the future. Everyone of you who posted good riddance and "it doesn't matter if he goes", you reap what you sow.

Dont matter dude. Bobby Petrino is going to save us, he's going to get Butch as his DC, and Ken Dorsey as his QB coach, and Chud as his OC, and Donna is going to pay everyone whatever they want, and Luke is goign to be back on the sidelines handing out C Notes. Were going to bring in a 10 million dollar staff to replace Golden. LULZ.

Mike Leach will be the OC, Chud will only be coaching the TEs.

SH8t urite. My bad. Mike Leach OC, Chud TE Coach, Dorsey QB coach, Schiano DC, Butch can be the Special teams and Recruiting Coordinator. Ray Lewis LB coach.

If we lose Golden, and Coley bolts, Yearby, Kaaya, and Valentine are GONE. With Donofrio gone, Jenkins and Hester may be gonzo too.

That's not just 1 guy. those are some of the most critical parts of this class and our future.

Look how well our last "transition" class turned out. What's Delmar Taylor up to these days? Grimble is sure looking good too aint he?

Is Valentine simply just "one recruit" now? And we are the short sighted ones?

You need a wider perspective. The turmoil that comes with just the rumors should be enough to open your eyes. The admin LOVES Golden so much they threw an extension to him to try and head off exactly what is happening today. And why wouldn't they as he HAS been winning, guided the U through choppy NCAA waters and is a great face if the program.

The definition of shortsighted, or delusional, is to think if he leaves that UM is going to grab some if these old school hard core football guys you are dreaming about for the next coach. The U has their man already and you are either with them or not.

The rumor mill is only hurting us and you all are contributing to it.
 
If golden leaves and this class breaks apart we are absolutely fuvked. Can't believe is is actually becoming a reality and people aren't supporting ou head coach and his future at Miami.

Sure the defense is bad but golden is filling this roster with talent and this class is the final piece of the puzzle. Golden leaving would be absolutely devastating

We dont need all those players buddy. All the experts in here have deemed it so. Some new superstar coach is going to come in here for the HUGE salary were going to pay him, less than Wake Forest actually pays, and he's going to have us in a BCS bowl next year. We dont need this recruiting class, any old bunch of JAGS will be just fine if we have a good coach.

I agree with a lot of opinions in this thread but it really would depend on who the new hire would be and if it would be a strong enough choice to keep this class in the fold......

So if AG bolts and we sign Butch quickly you don't think players would come for him?

You can put those 4 names on your Christmas list for Santa Claus, but that's the only place they are going. Not one of those guys is coming here.
 
Oh God someone make it stop.

Butch Davis left his last HC position under the cloud of an NCAA scandal. UM is on NCAA probation after just spending 3 years and 2 bowl bans trying to get out from the Shapiro mess. Butch ALSO TORCHED his bridges at UM when he insisted he was staying here, and then turned around and screwed the school and bolted having lied to everyone's face about what he was going.

Butch Davis is NOT going to be rehired as the HC here. You people need to land the freaking spaceship.
 
Auburn got rid of Chizik and still pulled in a top 10 class. Chip Kelly left Oregon for the NFL and they still had a great class.

A majority of our commits are committed to Miami, and not Golden. We might lose a handful, but the new coach would more than likely be able to keep a majority of the class together.

The consensus favorite recruit in this class is Chad Thomas....you think he's going anywhere just because Golden leaves to Penn State? **** no he loves Miami. He along with most of our commits aren't going anywhere.

We need the 2014 class in order to field a better team, should Golden leave and unless Management changes their mind, they won't go for a big name coach.
