All top 25 Coaches to join Alabama staff

Everyone talks about how great of a coach Nick Saban is...I hold my stance that he ain't that great. He continue's to buy as much as the top talent as possible, then hire as many different offensive minds as he can possibly get.
His job is to win championships. He’s figured out how to do it... more than any other coach since the invention of fire.

Ergo....He’s great.

Money is unlimited for 3-4 SEC schools, Clemson, Texas, OSU, and maybe couple of others. Salaries, analysts, getting unreal. Think Bama and Ga in war now who can spend the most, as Ga announce yesterday plans to build a separate 50million football only facility right next door to their Butts-Mehere atheletic building. That’s on top of over a 100 mil spent since Kurby got there on facilities. Bama will probably announce something even bigger soon. NCAA needs to initiate some kind of spending limits, course they would not enforce against certain teams.

In the business world it's put up or shut up.if saban wants to hire every fired hc or assistant out there that's his business.Clemson has already shown bama is beatable with all those 5*s and analcysts.time to quit whinning and start getting prepared to kick they're a$$.

He has an all-star team every year. His SUPPORT staff is made up of top notch coaches, and it's not like he just has an eye for good workers...he filters out the ones that don't perform. Great CEO and a great defensive coach. I'd be insane to say he hasn't accomplished great things, or that he isn't on the top of the coaching ranks right now.

Now, what I am saying, is that he's accomplished AS MUCH as he has because of the resources. I think the real Nick Saban is a championship caliber coach who could coach up a team capable of winning a Natty. Which is what he did at LSU...he won 8 games, then had 1 great year and won the Natty, while following that up with another 8 win season. He doesn't go 8 years in a row completely dominating all of the NCAAF if he doesn't have consistent top 2 classes and the resources to constantly get as many staff members and best coaches he can buy is my point though.

Saban didn’t stay long enough at LSU to know if he could have built a similar infrastructure to what he’s constructed at Alabama. He did have a plan when he returned from the NFL. He may have had the same plans at LSU but the NFL came calling.

It isn't on their agenda at all.

It is exactly how it would be if there was no NCAA, the rich get richer. At least then we might be on the short end of the stick JUST from a financial standpoint...not because we attempt to compete with an amateurism oversight association always in the back of our minds while others are unleashed to do as they please.
I’ve said this for decades and maybdad passed it down to me...it’s all about the Great 8
ND
Texas
Oklahoma
Alabama
Georgia
Michigan
Ohio St
Usc

The rest are pawns
Media and NCAA LOVE these teams to dominate. Large alumni base
National following
Great TV ratings
All of these schools travel

Go back in history boys, look at all the AP polls and even coaches polls, these **** schools are always ranked higher....then they are almost always the highest ranked one loss team two loss team three loss team.

They get slapped on the wrist, the only exceptions were sc w bush and OU at end of Switzer era

These schools RUN college football!!!!! Don’t you ever forget it!!!

Miami upset the Apple cart that’s why they hammer us

smu In 80s Baylor a few years ago...ncaa gotta keep em down to help Texas and OU stay relevant
They are turning a blind eye to the saban era big time right Now!!!

That’s it in a nutshell....the Great 8

I'm pointing out how unfair it is, but I know the deal. It is what it is, and I don't see any end to it. Teams with money will continue to find ways to spend that money in pursuit of wins.

Everyone works hard these days, there's no "outworking" anyone. saban's not going to let a free thing like effort beat him. In the end we need a bigger share of the elite talent and great coaching. At the point we've got those things we'll still be outgunned, but at least we'll have a chance.

We do the best we can no matter what the circumstances.
Life isn’t fair!!! Deal w it
Miami needs to leverage its advantages and have better coaching. Clemson has found a way, Miami needs to find their way to compete!
It’s that simple

Exactly
Sounds like we got a handful of crybaby socialists that want AOC to step in and be their mommy!

Miami needs to compete and leverage the strengths it has over other schools like bama!

And on top of all that, they get their azzes handed to them in the big game that mattered!! Saban chases every other top programs recruiting targets! He comes after our guys late after all the hard work has been done by the staff. Does anybody believe Saban is running around the country chasing these guys when he can just offer them and they come. He knows nothing about these recruits until they get to Bama. Manny needs to blur the lines a little when it comes to who he really likes and see saban offer them a bama ship.

It doesn't take much coaching skills to win with a bunch of 5 start athletes until you come up against a real coach with just as much talent!!

Georgia? Georgia?

You invalidated your list by adding Georgia.

Auburn, I can see. Historically … throw in Nebraska and Tom Osborne, but Georgia?

PSU ... maybe. But Georgia?

smh...
Excellent rebuttal...Those other schools merit consideration no doubt but you have to take a look at what NCAA “wants”
PennstAte was an independent and actually got ****ed plenty by Polls on more than one occasion losing NC to one loss or one tie teams when they were undefeated....to bama and sc I believe.

Auburn is not equal to Georgia due to being second fiddle in own state they are like MSU to Mich

Nebraska is right there w Georgia ! You aren’t remembering the Herschel love and need to remember it’s the ncaa and media NOT straight performance!
