In my high school days they had Clarence Pittman then Nitro Baker my sr year.

Pittman played at Rutgers and Nitro who was a scat back went to Norfolk State. Nitro would of likely been power 5 intodays games and offenses...he was one of the fastest guys in the county back then
I never thought Pittman would be that good. He couldn’t see the field on our little league team.

Tony Martin was actually a QB at the West. Cliff is from around the way too. If I'm not mistaken, he stayed either around the corner or across 29th Ave. from Javon Nanton. Another cat on a loooong list of ballers who were originally zoned to Springs. You can Ben Jones to that list as well....
Yup.

There were so many players who were from the City but wound up going to other schools like Springs, Edison, Central & Jackson etc..

Larry Brinson RB. Throwback from the 70's. One of the 1st great RB's from the West. Became a **** then an NFLer. How do I remember a cat who was out of the NFL before I was born? My mom's maiden name is Brinson and **** near every PE teacher and coach I ever had has asked me or my mom if we're related once they found out her last name. And before y'all ask, I'm not sure yet if Romello is my kin or not...

Man, I read that last sentence as kid.....lol

Lol he was actually one of the guys at the recent Deandre Baker, Quentin Dunbar robbery fiasco...he was one of the main witnesses in the statements.
@DroCane

He's a well known current coach in dade ON different teams that have won states. (BTW, SOUTHRIDGE ETC)

 He's a talker that's for sure

Jesus we didn’t get enough of those receiver.

St. Thomas would give them a run for the money. Quarterback might be the difference maker as I don’t recall them having a better quarterback than Bridgewater.
No they wouldn't....Stop it...certainly not all time....On top of that...You can give me Carol City Kids through the yrs, 24/7....Always had that Dog in them...that 2004 Carol City team in particular...

Technically yes but STA recruited a larger portion of their talent, it’s less home grown.

I do agree though aside from QB that team is stacked everywhere.

STA has like 500 DIV 1 OL. lol They stacked all across the board. And yes alot of MNW talent is homegrown...kids that went there for 4 years or even came up under their pop warner/optomist feeder programs at Gwen Cherry or Liberty City Warriors.

Facts. Can’t name a single STA QB but when your team would consist of

RB: Giovanni Bernard, James White
WR: Michael Irvin, Leonard Hankerson, Rashad Greene, Philip Dorsett
OL: Brandon Linder, Bobby Hart, Marcus Gilbert, Sam Young
DL: Nick Bosa, Joey Bosa, Geno Atkins, Bryan Cox
LB: Twan Russell, Tavares Gooden
DB: Lamarcus Joyner, Major Wright

I mean ****.

But I’m sure you know better than most everyone that so many of their players are from North Dade, SW Broward etc that transferred there or moved to be able to go there.
