Commits
RB Joseph Yearby, Miami (Fla.) Central (Injured)
OL Kc McDermott, Palm Beach (Fla.) Central
DE Chad Thomas, Booker T. Washington (Fla.)
OL Trevor Darling, Miami (Fla.) Central
WR Braxton Berrios, Leesville Road (NC)

OL Damian Prince, Bishop McNamara (MD) High School
WR Ermon Lane, Homestead (Fla.)
WR Travis Rudolph, Palm Beach (Fla.) Cardinal Newman
CB J.C. Jackson, Immokalee (Fla.)

Breakdown: There is a strong mix of Miami commits and top targets at the Under Armour game this year. Miami’s commits will be led by offensive tackle Kc McDermott and defensive end Chad Thomas. The top uncommitted targets for the Hurricanes will be Miami Central running back Dalvin Cook and Immokalee cornerback J.C. Jackson. The Hurricanes will continue to push for other targets such as Leonard Fournette, Damian Prince, Ermon Lane, and Travis Rudolph, but all of those prospects are favoring other schools.

U.S. Army

Date: January 4th 2014, San Antonio, Texas 1pm EST

Commits
DT Travonte Valentine, Champagnat (Fla.) High School

Targets
DL Davon Godchaux, Plaquemine (LA) High School
RB Sony Michel, American Heritage (Fla.) High School
LB Kenny Young, John Curtis (LA) Christian

Breakdown: Defensive tackle commit Travonte Valentine will be joined by a few UM targets in Davon Godhaux, Sony Michel, and Kenny Young. The Hurricanes have a ways to go to make up ground on the trio of players UM is pursuing.

Semper Fidelis

Date: January 5th, 2014, Carson, California 9pm EST

Commits
QB Brad Kaaya, Chaminade (CA) College Prep
OL Reilly Gibbons, St. Petersburg (Fla.) Catholic
DL Anthony Moten, St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.)
LB Darrion Owens, Oakleaf (Fla.) High School

Breakdown: The biggest prospect Miami has at the Semper Fi All American Game is quarterback Brad Kaaya. The Hurricanes are working hard to keep Kaaya committed with schools closer to California showing heavy interest. Miami accepted a commitment from Kaaya in May. His strong senior season has given him a higher profile and has attracted the interest of many programs in the Pac-12.

whats the word on the OL prince ?

1. OT DAMIAN PRINCE, FORESTVILLE (MD.) BISHOP MCNAMARA
Rank: No. 10 overall, No. 2 offensive tackle
Status: Prince has kept very quiet on the recruiting front lately. His top five is still Florida, Florida State, Maryland, Miami and South Carolina. The Terps are still holding the lead but the possibility of coaching staff turnover in College Park could change that. The Seminoles and Gamecocks seem to be firmly in the mix. Florida State has already hosted Prince on an official visit, and it went very well. Prince will take an official visit to South Carolina on Jan. 17, and it sounds like his grandparents will be making the trip with him, which is a very good sign for the Gamecocks. Florida and Miami will also get their chance to have Prince on campus for an official visit. Florida's official visit will occur on Jan. 24, and Miami's is on Jan. 31. Prince is still planning on announcing his decision on Valentine's Day.

that's good that there are a lot of Miami commits at under armour to try and sway the uncommitted targets but not good that travonte valentine will be surrounded with other Louisiana guys

the only reason we would lose TV is because of grades otherwise he is a solid commit

Prince, Fornette, and JC -- any two of the three would make this class just unbelievable. I'll take one and still be smiling.

You just never know

Henderson... AQM... McCord... Sometimes you pull a wild rabbit

I don't understand why people object to a visit.

Assuming the kid is not a cancer (i.e. a nuisance/distraction or spying for another school), what is the harm?

So if Prince or Fournette want to visit and these kids are "studs" what is the harm?

players get 5 OVs out of ever school in the country if a kid picks yours i dont care the intent of coming, just make a good impression

Agree. Get them on campus. See what happens.

kids like prince rarely make those trips. bring him in and see what happens. I'd be shocked if he makes that trip though.

Back in the 80's we used to call these "celebrity" visits. Kids like Todd Marinovich and Robert Straight, all world "can't miss" prospects who missed where they ended up going, USC and Baylor, respectively.
