Watching him drop that pass against VagTech; I thought to myself…
This ******* guy is going to cost Miami when it matters. He gets to make mistakes and not have to hit the bench.
Never held to account. Always got to run out there after ******* up.
Woodiel was out there handing out participation trophies.
People talk about accountability. This guy literally pushed a guy to block a punt.. He needs to be held accountable. These guys get paid now, he earned this. Can we close this thread? It’s not a good look. I understand why people are frustrated and angry, but it’s time to move on.

Every time some would mention the TE spot and it needed to be better, most would shoot it down and say Bauman is fine, Woddiel knows better than someone on message board, last week in portal thread someone said we made it this far, save money no TE needed.. @cowboycane , I told him then it was disgusting thought BEFORE the championship game and I will say it now, this used to be one of the PREMIER positions in CFB. Even when recruiting has been down we have regularly signed multiple quality TEs in same class (Mallory/Brevin n Njoku/Herndon).. We should be grabbing ELITE MIAMI LEVEL TE!!I hated when people were so nasty about Knowles. I’m sure he did the best he could. And I don’t like it regarding Bauman. It’s not his fault he’s playing. There are 60 players on the roster whose name you will never hear getting called in a game. Coaches don’t play the 8th string QB because they know he doesn’t have the capability. Woodiel failed utterly at his job. He should have told Cristobal “I know we need a replacement for Lofton but I don’t think Bauman is capable of filling his shoes” and let Cristobal figure out if he wants to use a WR or OL in the offensive packages and STs.
It’s especially important to note Bauman isn’t getting paid like a professional. That said I am fine with heaping criticism on Beck. There are nfl QBs making far less money than him. He blew it at the end of the game.
I love throwing to tight ends too, but the year we’re not using them is the year we have gone further than any point in the last 23 years so what are we *****ing about?Fire the TE coach, bring back TE U. This **** is gross.
This is a terrible mindset to take. Absolutely terrible. Its not that we arent using them, we are. They are on the field a TON, its that they are struggling, missing blocks and add nothing to pass game. A net negative. This makes it tougher against better teams (we still have 2 games to play).. The reason Restrepo cooked all year is because defenses had to play honest, even if Arroyo production wasnt the highest...I love throwing to tight ends too, but the year we’re not using them is the year we have gone further than any point in the last 23 years so what are we *****ing about?
Mario can't let this dude come back next season, don't care if he's one of Dowson's favorites.Every year, every team has 1 or 2 guys who everyone can see sucks and keeps hurting the team but some coach loves/trusts them and they keep playing them.In 25 Bauman,in 24 Harris. At the end of the day it's Dawson who decides who's hitting the field(unless Mario decides against it but as I been explaining he's not hands on like that)I blame no one but Dawson for all the wasted plays with this dude and forcing the ball to one of the most unathletic, uncoordinated tight ends in the country over and over. His hand eye coordination is on par with a blind man. But I can't blame anyone else for this kids ****** effort or lack thereof on that blocked punt which ultimately cost us a national championship. I wanted to break his ****** legs right there on the spot. Thank God we weren't still by the bench.
What accountability are you looking for exactly? I don’t see how any of this is productive.People talk about accountability. This guy literally pushed a guy to block a punt.. He needs to be held accountable. These guys get paid now, he earned this.
Not to rehash, but the punt at 15:10, he does the same thing. He had to have been coached to concentrate on the rush up the middle, which I don't understand with a punter moving to the right when he punts. The Pitt player could have blocked it. He just didn't try.
Even thou Greentree practice has improved steadily under Mario, there's 1 thing that has to happen at practice. Alex Bauman is fish chum and it seems he was never feed to Greentree sharks. Something is missing from practice if Alex is getting the most snaps. This is where I wish Mario wasn't so trust worthy with his staffWatching him drop that pass against VagTech; I thought to myself…

When position group is failing as bad as the TE room then you have to step in.They get paid for the professional capacity.
You can’t sit there and micromanage every coach.
do you need it confirmed it rained when you see the puddle?Guys - I get it, but we do have to let it go and here’s why:
Food for thought?
Like has it even been confirmed if he “missed” the block or was that the design of the blocking scheme and the Punter went too far outside on his kick?
