Man thats brutal. I remember telling my dad I was worried about Lofton being out and he was like nah they barely use the TEs but this right here...Lofton
Guaruntee you turn the tape on from practice and scout prob never gave Bauman a good look and he never took it seriously when he was working with the 2s. Can almost guarantee he used special teams period as his rest period during practice. I’ve seen it a lot at the d1 level beforeMan thats brutal. Man I hate to pile on the kid but GD... his laziness may have just cost them the natty. I know other events happened to put them in that spot but that play was a massive swing and in the 2nd half when miami defense was handling IUGuaruntee you turn the tape on from practice and scout prob never gave Bauman a good look and he never took it seriously when he was working with the 2s. Moreso the lofton injury forced him into that spot/role. Not sure who would have gotten those reps if he wasnt there and Lofton was out. But honestly any player giving even 75% effort to block that dude/get in his way would have been betterwe did so well in the portal this year, but if we would have just left him in new orleans, we would be title winners right now. his addition was a huge subtraction.
@Ghandi if he gets a waiver you in favor of naming him player-coach at TE? Like Bill Russell.
My all time fav thread, I have so much salt for 87 and his effort all seasonLet’s post all of the wonderful contributions Bauman had in this game.
We can come back and see clips or screen caps whenever the game is uploaded to ACC Network.
I’ll start -
+ 1st Quarter, third drive.
+ Goes out for a seam route and has the ball clank right of his soft tender hands

He;s lucky the guys on the team didn't kick his *** during the game.We saw saw some guys on defense ready to fight after some bad plays against Indiana.Watching him drop that pass against VagTech; I thought to myself…
This ******* guy is going to cost Miami when it matters. He gets to make mistakes and not have to hit the bench.
Never held to account. Always got to run out there after ******* up.
Woodiel was out there handing out participation trophies.
At the end of the day it's Dawson who decides who's hitting the field(unless Mario decides against it but as I been explaining he's not hands on like that)I blame no one but Dawson for all the wasted plays with this dude and forcing the ball to one of the most unathletic, uncoordinated tight ends in the country over and over. His hand eye coordination is on par with a blind man. But I can't blame anyone else for this kids ****** effort or lack thereof on that blocked punt which ultimately cost us a national championship. I wanted to break his ****** legs right there on the spot. Thank God we weren't still by the bench.Watching him drop that pass against VagTech; I thought to myself…

No, that's a Rudy. The kid did his best.
He's a Cane.
I don't disagree with this line of thinking. It's the way guys get on the field in the NFL, too
True to your name. You, Ghandi, are a true pacifist.Just cataloging his fantastic performance sir.
Can’t let one of the all time great appearances in Canes uniform get lost to the sands of time.
