Coach is the only one accountable to us. He hires the other coaches, they are accountable to him. I have played for, coached with, and watched a lot of coaches. Coaches can and do grow into jobs, but it certainly does not happen the majority of the time. Golden may grow into the job, we'll find out this year. If that happens we'll be ok. If it does not (which is likely), we'll have a new coach in 2016. The most important thing is never again can this U give this job to anyone who needs on the job training. Follow the plan that brough JJ and DE here back-to-back and we will never leave the top 10 again. They got lucky with Butch. No so much with the next three.

Now for the good part, let's roll today. Canes 45 GT 17. Feeling optimistic this AM.

Hard headed people never grow. Al thinks his growth already happened and there is no need to change. Check out the new article on 247, he's still whining about sanctions. The quicker we move on, the better we'll be.
 
Rather than doing more with less, he is content on doing less with more. And then blaming his failures on circumstances. That is not a sign of a true leader. Not only has he allowed circumstances to define him as a coach, he actively encourages it with the interviews he gives.

I understand JHall you rather the team lose so you can push out your chest and say see I told you so about the coaches. Great fan.

Its Coastal Champs or Bust for Golden. I want our team to win and will never root against them to see a coaching change. The raising canes episode demonstrated that he still has this team and they support him. We can still have a great season. Today is a huge game for us. Can we put two good quality wins in a row on the board. Time will tell.
 
defesne has been the problem. aside from nebraska its been better. keep in mind, he hired great offensive coaches like macdonald, fisch, and richardson who left.

I can recall telling a friend that G Paul wasn't that bad of a player but that it was more scheme. AG would not have signed him if he didn't see the athletic ability.The kid is avg 10 tackles and an interception his first 2 games at Utah, yet he couldn't cover a soul here.Didn't we pass on Gerod Holliman?I think his misses/blow offs are what have hindered his process along with his lack of coaching.He could have loaded the squad with talent and pulled a Coker for a few years but he hasn't developed and mostly blamed the players.
