Al blades stat

ROFL, been saying it all year, Blades proved himself game one of last year, been legit since he got here. Our db's are perfect for coach rumph, aggressive just how he teaches. Great question, but they gone charge it to the 2 that didnt sign here as being better, i think one is playing and that other one we havent heard from him in awhile (you know, soup is good food)!
Yeah when he was in vs LSU game i think he gave up maybe 1 catch for 9 yards and they had an elite receiver core last year too in terms of talent

Blades looks good. Ivey looks bad. 1/2. What does that say about Rumph? idk to be honest but considering his recruiting is questionable at best he needs to pump those numbers up

I’m still not a big blades fan I can’t get how he looked in high school out of my head. I don’t think he’s twitchy enough to play corner in the NFL...!i think his future is safety.. I hope he proves me wrong but I’m not sucking his **** just yet, but I can’t lie his play against Florida surprised me

I remember watching blades get destroyed by a lowly wr from Clewiston who ended up at Memphis. Blades surprised me by getting bullied all night. I was surprised but he was young. The receiver was recruited by our canes but not heavily. I walked away unimpressed. However I do believe blades has tremendous potential and will end up a great player. He is possibly the best we got if his tackling improves soon.

Have they played DB at all? I dont expect them to be ready yet but would love to get a look at thier talent / raw skills
Tecory played vs uf and Christian Williams played at the end of the Bethune game. Christian Williams tracked down joe reed who is one of the better receivers and kick returners in the country to preserve a td last game which was great to see

You have the same problem alot of people on this board have, and that's digesting reality. Blades been shown from game 1 of last year what he's about and has only gotten better. You and guys like you get stuck on irrelevant ****, you holding his highschool film against him, lol, what's next, star rankings!
Nothing irrelevant about what I saw I watched him at least 2-3 games in high school and just wasnt impressed . For example I’ve seen tecory couch and One game and he jumped out to me even tho he looked a savory 140. Like I said I hope he proves me wrong,

I wouldn't give up on Ivey just yet. He was there on both the plays thrown his way...….was blanketing the WR and then didn't turn around and just bat the **** thing down. Hes long and he has talent. Just has some technique issues. At any rate, if Bandy comes back and we have those two and Williams develops, we got a nice group.
He was also on the ground on a 3rd and 30! SMH

Blades has looked real good this year

People are overreacting on Ivey. He's had WRs make very tough impressive catches against him. He'll be solid as long as he keeps improving
Agree, people are getting carried away calling Ivey trash. He was in good position on most of those. He didn’t get beat any worse than that all world frosh db from LSU, stingley..obviously Ivey will need to make those plays in the future but that’ll come with more experience..

Get off Ivey, Blades is a good physical athlete, he's more competitive, Ivey is a smart corner who needs to play more aggressive. He'll get at least 5 picks on a year when he settles in and plays to his body's potential.

If you watch play to play and not just the targets Ivey has been more impressive than blades imo. VT beat Blades deep bad but the ball was overthrown so people don't remember that but we'd be looking at him much different. I like blades but Ivey has honestly impressed me I just think people are way to quick to call players busts he got beat with separation like once in this past game which we can probably agree was his worst one. I'm excited about blades too but if u focus on Ivey I think you'll be impressed with how often he smothers his man

One things for certain, dubois is no chop liver, he just made excellent catches, i was cool with the coverage ivey had on those plays, its his first year, its clear why he's the starter and he's been playing just like coach rumph described, just waiting on him to make that big play, cause he's right their on alot of them. The more confidence ivey gets, the more he'll excell, this secondary is in good hands, im glad you one of the ones who can understand that, and ivey is a True competitor out their too, ivey as a redshirt freshman out their going head up with a real polished senior wideout in Dubois, im sure those completions against him will keep that fire burning inside for ivey to get better, we certainly good over here.

Exactly man, and even though that receiver caught the ball, Blades still got him to the ground, unlike the escort service coach rumph had to trot out their after bandy got ejected in Jhavonte dean. If bandy is out their, we probably win that game, most of burrows horrible stats came against dean.

See, you just said "i hope he proves you wrong", he's already done that for almost a year and a half now, what you waiting on, lol. You keep referring to what you saw of him in highschool, and even in highschool you could tell once he got into college his game would translate especially being in a college system, why, because he's physical and more importantly is not afraid to challenge anybody, so from a mental and heart standpoint alone we was good, plus, he's a True Cane thru & thru. With couch, his speed translates on the field and his technique, he's a physically elite version of Blades when it comes to speed and technique, im going to war with both of them and ivey!

A lot of these high schools have next to no passing game. Good HS corners rarely get challenged even if they do face a good passing game. You can watch hours of HS film of a corner and still only get a sense for their tackling and physical traits.

Blades proved his press cover skills in 1on1s at events where he locked down the top rated receivers in the nation. I told this site that 1on1 performances are a much bigger piece of the evaluation than game film for corners and you all thought I was insane and raved about how great Asante Samuel Jr. is (he got torched in 1on1s all the time).
