I was saying this before he stepped foot on campus.
A lot of times you have to weed out the posters who love to overhype some of these kids. Love RattlerCane as a poster but he had us believing TCampbell was going to be a superstud and that Surtain was soft and overrated. Looks like the total opposite now. Surtain looks like a beast and Campbell is the one who looks soft and overrated so far.
Same with Samuels Jr and Blades Jr. Local HS guru posters fed us the BS that Blades Jr couldn't hold Samuels Jr jockstrap and that Blades so was bad at CB that STA moved him to Safety because Jaden Davis was so much better.

I have never understood why Ivey has been starting over Blades. I like Ivey's potential down the line but Blades is better right now.

This is what’s scaring me with Diaz...we have enough sample sizes on some of these guys to start making the switch.
Stop with fake competition and play the best guys.
And they hurting their own defense by not giving Bandy any snaps in the slot.

Campbell hasn’t been as dominate as what anyone expected.
But it’s way to early to call him a bust. Maybe he’ll be in college all 4 years.
Recently he’s been injured and missed their last 3 games.
Tough to say what the kid is really at this point.
Kinda like Lingard for us.

I don't remember that at all and I followed it closely.
People were questioning quite loudly why Samuels didn't get an offer while we had the chance, given the unlikelihood of getting Surtain/Campbell and the dire need we had.

Idc what anybody says, Blades is the best corner we got right now. You can’t leave Bandy on an island on the outside. If we can find another boundary corner to go with Blades, so Bandy can go back to nickel we would be in a much better spot.
For the record Ivey has gotten beat A LOT this year, but not many of them have been awful. Hopefully with experience he can start making plays on those balls where he’s been in decent position. I’m not ready to give up on him yet

Honestly it was not Rattler who hyped the kid... kid was rated #2 CB in the country and got 5 stars. I believe kid is going to be good regardless of current status.
Surtain seems to be the goods and Blades is right there becoming a great one.
Yes but RattlerCane told us Surtain was soft and overrated. That’s proving to be the opposite. Not trying to call my fellow FAMU Rattler out..my point is that maybe he was a little biased.
Posters were definitely saying Samuels Jr was better then Blades Jr and that he wasn’t a CB but a Safety.
That said, I wanted Samuels Jr too. Too bad we waited too long.

When Diaz said we had a flat corner to cover the flat on the RB and what should have been a pick 6 today I knew it should be Bandy.
He’d make more plays there just like the Norte dame game when he got the pick 6 playing nickel.

I’ve seen Jobe, Cambell, and Surtain all get torched at least once. Joe Burrow was picking on Campbell last year and he was benched afterwards. Trever bullied on Jobe and Surtain in the natty. We all already know about Lawrence Cagers ***** I mean Asante Samuel. I’ve seen him get beaten many times. Canes have faired well against him, and Trevor Lawrence went after him on the first or second drive of the game til they pulled him briefly. I’d love for Blades to develop into an elite talent for us.

I’m still not a big blades fan I can’t get how he looked in high school out of my head. I don’t think he’s twitchy enough to play corner in the NFL...!i think his future is safety.. I hope he proves me wrong but I’m not sucking his **** just yet, but I can’t lie his play against Florida surprised me
I guess. I wouldn't call that speed I'd call that quickness/hips and although I wouldn't say it was a strong suit I would say he's good enough in that area to not be a liability. I think Blades has better tools but needs to be more consistent in technique where Ivey looks pretty refined just doesn't have the highest of ceilings cause I wouldn't say he's an elite athlete but his length is a massive plus
ROFL, been saying it all year, Blades proved himself game one of last year, been legit since he got here. Our db's are perfect for coach rumph, aggressive just how he teaches. Great question, but they gone charge it to the 2 that didnt sign here as being better, i think one is playing and that other one we havent heard from him in awhile (you know, soup is good food)!
You have the same problem alot of people on this board have, and that's digesting reality. Blades been shown from game 1 of last year what he's about and has only gotten better.
