I wouldn't give up on Ivey just yet. He was there on both the plays thrown his way...….was blanketing the WR and then didn't turn around and just bat the **** thing down. Hes long and he has talent. Just has some technique issues. At any rate, if Bandy comes back and we have those two and Williams develops, we got a nice group.

Bandy isn’t going anywhere. He is undersized and has not played great this season. ... and petey is on lockdown lol

Im not even talking about the uva game. If i'm not mistaken when he was coming out somebody up here said that ivey lacked speed and was more of a zone corner. And its looking that way. He would be a good fit in that seattle cover 3 scheme.

Watching him reminds me why we use to just line up and say, "we'll play our base defense, you try to beat us!" CBs who could cover, safeties who could take heads and hearts, Dline who make QBs pee themselves and LB with speed to make up anyones mistakes. Got to wonders how many Blades were with the 300 against the Persians. Love them boys.

Given how long it took them to start Rousseau, we'll be lucky if they figure out that Blades is better and make the switch this season.
 
If you watch play to play and not just the targets Ivey has been more impressive than blades imo. VT beat Blades deep bad but the ball was overthrown so people don't remember that but we'd be looking at him much different. I like blades but Ivey has honestly impressed me I just think people are way to quick to call players busts he got beat with separation like once in this past game which we can probably agree was his worst one. I'm excited about blades too but if u focus on Ivey I think you'll be impressed with how often he smothers his man

That one play at end of the game where he played the ball to the perfection was sound technique !

Db's are solid IMO I'm not worry about them Safety's on the other hand..... We are young too while we at it only room for improvement. Is it just me that every time we play loose in our coverage it seems like a big passing play happens? I rather just rotate some guys every other down and jammed these suckas up get physical because TBH our safeties sometimes are liabilities back there and with this style on our defense it leaves holes. Bolden and Al needs to start.

Rumph is always been good in my eyes. He actually coaching these kids up. Recruiting he's getting better at it so it's alright with me and he will be great at it over time. People have to realize that its very hard to recruit at his position when you are going against the Corey Bell-monsta =LSU, BAMA, Ohio ST, GA, Fla, Fsu of the world's.
