If he doesn’t come here , what’s the plan?

If I was an agent of a really talented player like Mensah who was at a school like Duke, I would encourage my player not to sign any renewal stuffuntil the latest portal deadline. Leaves you option in case bigger fish come calling. Also avoids messy stuff like this
He signed a 2 year contract initially.

And never sign a 2 year deal, you never know which school will come calling with a huge deal

They can't lol he's not an employee.
I think where the problem arrises if the new NC judge grants a TRO while the contract issues are litigated it could cause a delay or prevent the kid from playing during that time or some of that time. I don't know a lot about injunctions other than what I learned a long time ago but to me there is an adequate remedy at law in terms of the value of the contract. just pay damages and be done with it.

Thats all it is. Duke wants money, give it to em, consider it their share of Miami’s 30Ms from playoffs for beating UVA.

Let nickel throw bubbles to Toney and win 8 games
Put Mali at QB and run whatever the heck gets the ball down the field. He can't throw a worse deep ball than Beck, to keep teams honest. ;)

But seriously, we'll need a mini miracle to compete for the playoffs without a portal QB.

Canes already got their QB, Mensah has signed. Multiple people have alluded to it.

It’s not a matter of IF Mensah comes, but when.

Any judge will look at this and just be like "Duke just take the money and shut up." Cause no judge will be the first judge to force Mensah to stay cause then at that point, you're sayin Mensah is an employee and you're opening Pandora's box.

I don't think a judge will bother dragging this out as well.
