AG on Joe Rose "The Art of Making Excuses"

It's easy to grin
When your ship comes in
And you've got the stock market beat
But the man worthwhile
Is the man who can smile
When his shorts are too tight in the seat.

so after we lose to VT AFTER a bye-week, what will be his next excuse?
We're already hearing that this "isn't really a bye week" from him.

Wait, what? Seriously?

Golden says #Canes don't really have a bye week. Priority is to get healed and rested, but have to get ahead on VT prep later in the week.

This guy is a walking excuse, he's already setting one up for after VT beat down.

Joe Rose: Coach, You were 3 for 10 on 3rd Downs.

AG: The fact that we had so few means we were progressive with the ball.

What the fvck does that even mean?

Translation..."Joe, Im a ******* idiot and dont have a real answer. So I will throw **** on the wall and see what sticks"

Joe Rose: Coach, Duke beat of GT. Did that surprise you?

AG: I don't get into that. Duke had a Bye Week.

There is more.......

You know, there really is plenty going on with this team to legitimately question without looking for stuff like this. First, every team hates playing another team coming off a bye week as it really does give the bye week team a bit of an advantage in preparation and just getting the team healthy, over bruises and rested up. Second, we had 20 first downs with 17 of them coming on first and second downs, so where was he wrong with that statement?

Had we LOST against Cincy, then those third down numbers would have been the reason we lost, that's what's wrong with the snake oil salesman's statement. But since we won? Well ****, them numbers were just dandy.

Well guy, we averaged over eight yards per play with Cinncy, so we were naturally getting a whole lot of first downs without getting into third down situations. Which also contributed to putting up 600 yards of offense. Generally speaking, not too much to complain about when the offense puts up those kinds of numbers. I was reading on another site this morning and someone took the time to go back over the year and put together the third down numbers as relates to distance. In summary, when we are in third and less than four yard to go, we are near fifty percent success rate on third down. When we are in third and long, much less, and the numbers showed that we have many more third and longs than we do third and shorts.

When you cut 1 foot in half its the same size as 6 inches... so half a foot is the same as half of 12 inches. Also 50 percent of a 100 is 50. 50% of 50 is 25 which is ironically 25% of 100.... When you are able to understand equations and figures such as these you are trending in the correct mathematical direction.

Translation: It is not fair.
