After the Storm: FIU

And to add on to that, Al Golden was a ****** special teams coach but had good specialists because he would just go recruit kids based on actual hs film not these very bias camp rankings for specialists

Golden’s punters were a grad senior transfer and a juco in Botts. But he was good at finding them, probably the ONLY thing we might miss from that guy. Which is down right pathetic to be honest.

All in all, except for the 4th quarter, was utter domination by the Canes. I bet Richt got tired of hearing about Borch David’s fan club and wanted to lay the wood on him until he remembered he’s got a Thursday night game at home. Otherwise, I bet he would’ve tried to put another 30 spot on him.

Whatever it take to get Mark to coach with some Cane in him.

What team had the qb do the roll out punt? We should honestly do that.
It's very dangerous. There is no roughing the kicker outside the tackle box. Your punter (or QB in this case) just becomes another blocker and defenders are free to take shots as soon as his feet hit the ground.

@Stefan Adams Can you or some of the other guys on here with relatives on the team let us know what the dynamic in the locker room is in regard to Perry vs. Rosier? Who are the guys wanting to see & is it pretty much universal in the room? A divided team rarely lives up to potential.

St. Louis-Boulware-Gauthier-Donaldson-Scaife

With this OL package, we definitely have quicker feet in the game. Scaife and Boulware are pretty similar guys, agility wise, and I had previously thought we should give Boulware a crack at LT, to place St Louis back on the right side, as so:

Boulware-Gauthier-Gaynor-Donaldson--St. Louis

It's starting to look like the staff is being realistic on who's going to be the guys for us. The staff was trying to give these upperclassmen a chance to take the bull by the horns, but they just aren't as talented as the younger guys. The old heads dont have the movement or the energy, and they don't seem hungry.

- #77 looks the part, but I don't think he has the right mentality.
- #62 can't stay in his feet for nothing - which is typical for a guy with two left feet.

I have no complaints with both Boulware and Scaife in the game... The way Boulware pulls around the edge at Guard gave me chills. We were horrible at that before. Jones was pulling and not even laying a hand on anyone.

This OL will come together... there is hope!

Miami has a 3 win women's soccer team. Surely to god you can find a better ******* punter there

what are the rules on placing a normal UM student on the team mid season? even though we don't have a men's soccer team, surely there are ex HS soccer players at UM.. Does UM have a Rugby Club team?

I completely understand why people say Richt is so loyal to Rosier

However, to me, I’ve always felt like he was looking for a reason to take him out. He knows the team is limited with him in there better than we do.

I just think in his head he needed to see more and he got what he wanted.

If he really was loyal he wouldn’t use a game against FIU as a reason to make a switch.

Just my thoughts though. Can’t wait to turn the page.

listening to comments Richt has made since last year, you could tell he didnt want Rosier to be the starter. But unfortunately he was the best option

He squeezed every drop of ability out of Rosier while buying time for someone else to be ready.

Donaldson must have been at guard for only a couple plays, right?

Everyone liked Derrick Smith for that Striker spot but people forget that Romeo Finley was highly recruited out of Niceville and it was between us and Clemson for his services. Hes no scrub. He looked great out there.
