On Roswell Road? My husband has played there on their blues nights before, but not in a while.

Edit: but yeah, I hear you don't go there for the food. I haven't eaten there.

I was so confused at first...Owens & Hull is Grand Champion BBQ. When - and why - did they change their name??

I don't know if/where the roads change names, but the Fat Matt's I've been to is on Piedmont Avenue. The Lewis Barbecue that just opened up is just south of there, in the Ansley Mall.

I'm only certain of the road names because we just went there.

Owens merged with Hull. Literally. They had 2 separate places, and opened a new one. Google Maps is confused.

@Fluffhead and I had this same conversation about a year or two ago. We both spotted the "grand opening" articles separately and tried to share with one another.

Okay, a little google research revealed that the owner of GC BBQ merged with the O&H guy and they also merged their styles, which kind of bums me out. I LOVED GC BBQ in Roswell. It was an amazing little hole in the wall up here that I used to go to when I lived and worked in Sandy Springs/Dunwoody area. But I get why he probably had to do it, and will go try the new place.

Oh, it might be on Piedmont, yes. They are basically interchangeable to me now that I haven't driven since 2019 so I forget which buildings are on which road in that section.

Have you tried the Lewis BBQ yet? I'm always looking for places to eat lunch around there after my Shepherd Center appointments.
