You think our admin has the cojones to fire our DC n OC in the middle of the season? And what do you think Golden would do if this happened?

Would never ever happen. This administration is the root cause of our decade long irrelevance and mediocrity. Nothing will change under this regime.

The university has improved it's academic standing and that's a noble and worthwhile achievement. However, returning to football prominence - no chance.

Completely agree. All you guys holding out hope that Shalala/BOTs/Admin are going to make changes because we are a mediocre football team are nuts. They won't do a thing to Al Golden or his staff. As long as he keeps that graduation rate high and keeps the off field trouble to a minimum, this job is his until the day he dies (Or decides to leave - which ain't happening either). Theres a reason they extended this guy's contract through 2020 when he hasn't proven a **** thing on the field.
 
No way does Golden quit if his bud gets fired. Dude would lose out on the rest of his contract. That said, the neutered defense being ran is the one AL wants. Even if his ****** buddy was canned, I would not expect much change. The key here is Golden, he would have to give up the reins.

That was the beauty of the sports buzz thread. The last 8 games are historically bad. Yet nothing will change. Just more hyperbole, "trust the process" and fluff.

I think Al's "trust the process" line has been superseded by "the coaches are re-evaluating everything." Everything includes the process that the kids are to embrace. No wonder the kids look confused on the field.
 
Wow are Rob and cane@USF idiot really that dumb? The administration might be cheap but I do think they're committed to a good football program. And Golden has had Offield trouble two players getting arrested for rape another player getting arrested for stealing a laptop. If they were committed to just being average they would've kept Coker that's exactly what he was. Now, where I do agree with you is they don't spend money on the staff or hiring the head coach in the first place that has to change. With the stadium renovations coming in them wanting to capitalize on finally having somewhat of a home-field advantage again you better believe Golden is on the clock if we lose to Nebraska.
 
If the Admin fires anybody it'd be the head coach. He makes changes to his staff, not them.

Yea tough guy, call me an idiot because you don't agree with my opinion. One might say that you are an idiot for thinking that an Admin "committed to a good football program" would allow D'Ornofio to return this year as DC. And Coker would probably still be the HC here if not for the FIU brawl. You're an idiot for thinking that Shalala cares more about winning than she does about outside perception and academic rankings.

Hold on a second.......are you saying that's a bad thing? Hopefully we never bring in a president who cares more about winning than academic prestige. I know you're a USF guy, and the world needs underlings, but UM doesn't think that way.
 
I'm not being an internet tough guy or trying to fight you... your opinion is rooted in stupidity. We fired Shannon too BTW. She should care about the academic ranking she is the president of University. I think I know why you're stuck at USF.
