The Adidas deal runs until like 2027. Their only real leverage is to offer to renegotiate it if we show a "commensurate" commitment to actually winning. Don't hold your breath on any of this since in the overall scheme of things we're actually a peanuts level investment for a shoe company.

This deal was dumb too. It should’ve been an 8 yr deal. That way they could’ve renegotiated or sought other suitors commensurate at the going rate. Now our deal is truly going to be peanuts come 2022. It’s already peanuts considering other deals that’s now being negotiated. Then again, we are getting handsomely paid for a G5 caliber program.

I agree We should have done an 8 year deal instead of 12 but saying we are getting paid for handsomely group of 5 program is going overboard lol. Miami’s contract is much more lucrative than uga’s Nike contract and they signed a year prior to miamis.

Uga only got a 10 year 40 million dollar deal in 2014 which barely gets over 1 million in cash from Nike whereas Miami’s deal is 12 years closer to 100 million with 4 million in cash every year in addition 4 million in apparel.

Also, we are wasting this money. The only good thing we did was buy out Golden. We over paid a coach who wanted to retire and we just over paid for a 1st yr coach. We wasted all the good gesture that Adidas have done for us.

I wonder What is it really going to because miami certainly wasn’t getting that much from Nike and you was operating without the extra cash adidas deal brought in , now that Miami has it annually what exactly is it going to? Who knows at this point. With the adidas money and revenue from the acc network Miami needs to be pouring in as much money as the can into the football program
