MEGA New Miami Adidas Ultraboost🔥 - The Shoe and Nike/Adidas Thread.

Simple reasoning and decades of observation bears it out. That's why. Nike knew full well how much merch Miami sells(or doesn't), hence why they were comfortable with the crap deal they put out. It's easy to play the "You could POSSIBLY make this much" game when you know full well that unless Miami goes on a major league run, the merch won't sell and you'll never have to worry about shelling out that money. I don't blame Nike for trying, corporations are going to do what corporations do.
That's a lot of words for you to say that you're just guessing something is true because you want it to confirm your hypothesis.

There are no alphas. Beta Blake is semi-retired and the Mas brothers are adi-boys.

We will continue to receive ****** "official" adidas gear, which is why I have decided to buy every UM apparel brand EXCEPT FOR adidas.

I've talked to you and @Rellyrell about the ridiculous lack of women's gear. Pressbox makes my favorite shirts, so if any of you want to get your wives/girlfriends anything, I highly recommend. They are the only brand that makes cute stuff for women that isn't frumpy and isn't cropped/fitted for young college-aged girls. Fanatics, Nordstrom, and Caneswear too I believe carries them.

You will never. Ever. NEVER EVER get any evidence or proof from Canedouche08. Never.

He will tell you about how cheap the Miami fans are. And how the merch never sells.

And yet...in nearly every year since I first enrolled at UM in 1986...the crowds are HEAVY in the fall semester to buy the "latest gear", and there are rarely any huge clearance sales in the spring-summer months.

I've had season tickets (in one form or another) for nearly 40 years. Whenever I've gone to AllCanes and/or CanesWear on the September/October/November weekends, the sales are always brisk. Yes, the last couple of years have been more exciting, you can sense the positive feelings. But the merch sells...EVERY SINGLE YEAR...

Now, you'd have to sit down with Harry and a spreadsheet to measure the VOLUME of sales in certain years. I'm sure there was a bump in the early 2000s. And what people FAIL to gauge over the last few years is how much merch is being fulfilled via internet and phone-in orders.

The fact remains, as the school year winds down into summer, there is no panic of unsold merchandise that must be moved with huge markdowns. And to be honest, I would be happy to pay discounted prices to save some cash. But each spring/summer, I have to get lucky to find styles I like with enough leftover inventory in my sizes. I would conservatively guesstimate that about 75-80% of clearance items that I click on are only available in one or two sizes.

But...yeah...Miami fans are so cheap that our merch never sells, and we should be OH SO GRATEFUL that one company decided to overpay us with an overly-generous guaranteed payment that they will never recoup on our volume of sales....

When I read that sentence back again, it just makes me laugh and laugh, it's so ri-god****-diculous...

I appreciate you backing me up. He was replying to me though.

It is, indeed, laughable.

The eve of our biggest game in 23 years and the Nike Queens are twittering like birds over shoes and shirts.

This is worse than the posters that joke about cranking their puds to highlight reels.

For all the adidas fanboys…

adidas is currently selling UM “Cotton Bowl Champions” t-shirts.

And Fiesta Bowl t-shirts.

Can’t make this **** up. The ONE TIME that adidas is not late to the marketplace…

Im sure that Kirk Herbstreit and the Taint coaches/players are going to milk this for the “bulletin board” qualities, just as they did with the “post-game party” that some UM players were promoting back in 2003…

Never thought we'd see 3 stripe being proactive

I know Mario, that dude switching as soon as the contract is up. Ain’t no way we stay with adidas I would be shocked
There is probably no area in the country it’d make more sense for adidas to go all in on over Miami… so I’d expect them to pay us more than Nike and we stick with them

Maybe, but I just know the Mario Nike relationship from Oregon will be too much for adidas to overcome. With the money that's about to start flowing you better be **** sure Nike will throw the books at them and I feel like Mario will choose Nike. But if he does choose Nike I feel like he will tell Nike to keep it simple, like the main jerseys. We will see, all guessing right now.......I hope its Nike. Adidas **** be feeling like they made it at a sweat shop in NYC sewers or some ****. I just have the foam runners from Adidas that's it.
