This is very simple. So simple, that I'm sure the adidas fanboys will not grasp it and/or ignore it.

Nike is giving out brand-new swag, unreleased swag, special edition swag to its top programs.

adidas is pulling unsold inventory off the shelves and then silk-screening or embroidering a CFP logo on it, then sending it out to the teams that make the CFP.

It's beyond obvious, but I'm sure that a certain porster from California will keep claiming that adidas "offered more money" once Nike is not even allowed to bid.

So we’ve concluded that Nike is better, BUT we’re 3 days away from the window opening and all signs point to Adidas

No beta Blake to blame, just tough and physical alphas getting run over by some soccer guys

Does the playoff run flip the script or do we remain second hand store in apparel?

There are no alphas. Beta Blake is semi-retired and the Mas brothers are adi-boys.

We will continue to receive ****** "official" adidas gear, which is why I have decided to buy every UM apparel brand EXCEPT FOR adidas.

Just looking on a couple different social media accounts, it does appear that at a minimum, Miami got bowl gear on par with the other Adidas schools in the playoffs. Just haven’t posted about it. Even the Nike schools are going pretty base design-wise.

And you do realize that this is about more than sending 85 swag-packs to a school, right?

There's all kinds of contractual language specifying that adidas is supposed to PROMOTE Miami, to MARKET Miami, to PUSH Miami. This is the functional equivalent of belatedly mentioning Cam Ward as a Heisman candidate. It didn't help him in the voting, and he quickly signed a deal with another company not named adidas.

If adidas is lucky enough to get a few teams in the CFP, they should be letting THE WORLD know about it. Lazy second-place brand which should be in third place or lower.

I just bought a couple hoodies from Peter Millar and about to order a couple more. Classic, simple styles with what appears to be premium fabric.

And if you like that simple styling, I would recommend Cutter & Buck. You can order direct from their site, lots of options.

And to be completely honest, should ANY adidas school be posting what they got? Knowing full well what Nike schools are getting?

I’m just gonna pretend we haven’t posted it because we are still open to nike/jordan

I'm secretly hoping for New Balance (my old man feet favors their sneakers) to go big in the football game and make us their flagship program so I don't have to wear soft Adidas shoes that hurt after several hours or Nike that is mostly way too narrow for my feet and gives me shin splints in less than an hour.

Adidas apparel has gotten much better in looks and feel since we first signed with them and it's not that hard to find prime barely used or new team issued gear for sale online at a discount although with this playoff run the prices haven't been as good lately. I'd still rate nike higher overall for apparel but their top of the line **** is way more expensive than the most expensive Adidas **** sold

Out here in the 305/954 the kids are asking for asics and new balances for Xmas.
Since when did grandpa shoes become the new cool?

Maybe they are Ohtani fans or fans of that white guy from duke. NB is really comfortable now that I have flat feet and shin splints issues if I wear Nike or Adidas for an afternoon

Cool! Wasn’t arguing any of that.

I mean sweatsuits, shirts, a sneaker or 2, slides maybe, bookbags, travel bags… just Nike or Adidas versions of a lot of the same types of ****. A lot of these kids are making real NIL money. They’re wearing Amiri, Christian Dior, Rick Owens etc. at the gas station photo shoots 😂… does it matter THAT much anymore?

All of this is true.

And this is where I would argue that the Nike advantage comes into play.

Nike is giving the players at the top schools "player edition" (special editions) of particular colorways and particularl shoes. Yes, the players now have enough money to buy a few pairs of $250 shoes online, but do they have ACCESS to limited edition stuff.

adidas sends Miami players the same-old same-old. Even during the heyday of Kanye West, the UM players NEVER got player-edition Yeezys.

While all the players at the Nike schools are rocking rare versions of classic shoes.

And that's what's so appealing to the players who are sneakerheads. Limited edition shoes. Like the UM alums who were wearing the Solefly "Fruits of our Labors" Jordan 3s earlier this season.

Can someone who has been keeping up with this thread TLDR this for me? Are we switching to Nike, what's happening? Adidas is *** and retarded, all the big school are Nike. Adidas is popular with European soccer fans, the logo doesn't hold any weight in the US
