Adding age

Especially at crucial positions like QB & OT, for us it's imperative we have savvy experienced vets that are professional & can deal with adversity.

This is a transition season for us, where if we win big we can turn that into recruiting momentum that will help create building blocks for more regular sustained success.
This is what we have been missing. The vets to teach the young guys how to do it and how to handle situations. We’ve been throwing freshman and sophs in there so early for so long that we have lost that

It’s all about momentum. Miami has to flip the switch and gain some momentum by piling up wins not just this season, but multiple seasons. That’s when Miami blows up again. With the right leadership and commitment this program will rise again. Hopefully, sooner rather than later.

He added 5 guys that will be playing Sundays. That’s pretty incredible.

We should be doing better work getting 4 stars straight out of high school from out of state.

Those guys seem to want to be here just like many locals want to leave. Kids today are more interested in traveling and getting new experiences away from home. We have been allowing that phenomenon to work against us. Time to take advantage.

I think the recruiting budget is hindering us for casting a wider net. Not sure. Maybe the local talent allows coaches to feel they don’t have to be on the road as much?

The ability to land these highly sought transfers tells me something could be done to improve the quality and quantity gotten from out of state recruiting.

Can also throw Bubba Bolden on this list even though he came in last year. Didn’t even have that much playing time prior to last season but you can see how much the communication improved with him out there

McCloud too

This makes me ask what the **** happened to Richt's first two recruiting classes? Why the **** are there no seniors on the team besides transfers? Why the **** did we have to play two freshman and two sophomores on the offensive line last season? Why are we constantly having to rely on freshman every year? This is why Miami has struggled against the Virginias and Boston Colleges of the world. They don't have the talent man for man but they're trotting out fourth and fifth year players who have a ton of experience and won't crap the bed as soon as something negative happens.

Especially on the offensive line. How did we end up as bad off as last year?

Searles was too picky on o-line and bad evals with guys like Herbert, and Hillery

Manny had his apprentice year, was in a bunch of games where little mistakes cost - none, bigger than the season momentum that was lost by giving away that game to Florida, then looks to have lost the team at the end. He has the talent and an O-line that's a year older.

Imma let the King finish this up:
