Literally the other day I was thinking how wonderful it is that players don't seem to get in trouble with the law under Cristobal (at least we don't hear about it if it's happening). There goes that lol
Myself and a friend of mine who is a canes fan were saying this too

I want you all to know @Brains @JD08 @AtlAtty and I considered pulling the plug on this thread throughout the day. But, we more or less all agreed to let people continue to show their asses.

God bless.
Thank you for leaving it open. This helps me both identify people that really should be ignored and also makes me realize how accurate my moral compass is.

This is sad news, my father told me when I first started driving that a simple mistake in a car could end lives. I’m not going to get into what happened it’s just sad that lives were lost especially little ones like that. I’m also sure Hayes himself feels bad.

If y'all have all these takes on here and wanna fly the banners on 3/4 of ****. Lighting this hoe *** dudes platform up to show him for the clown he is would be a decent start. Talking about should ban srt. Clown *** dude don't have any clue what's going on right now out here if cheap *** srt are his concerns. These jits are driving lambos, Ferraris, mods right & left. It's not about what car youre driving. It's simply being responsible and cautious in it. Dude wants to keep throwing things around and the only thing relevant here is the effects this accident had moving forward. Families are never gonna recover from this. AD more than likely never recovers from this. Two little children will never get to experience this world & the cars involved aren't relevant in that...
Amen. FAmilies ruined. So sad.

Guns don’t cause crime anymore than flys cause ****. This has nothing to do with a particular car.
I agree with the logic in general. However, a prius vs a hellcat is a whole different level of risk. But then again so is a 22 vs a 45. No easy answers besides leading by example and in most cases that comes from the home.

same with the instant torque in electric vehicles. they accelerate way too quickly for anyone behind the wheel to respond to any distractions/occurrences on the road. now do it with a kid who clearly isnt a good driver (recent at fault accidents)/willfully incessant speeder (tickets), this is more likely to happen than not. feel awful for the victims family and even the neighbors. i do not feel bad for hayes at all. he'll have to live with this for the rest of his life, but hopefully its a wake up call as to his driving habits.

Seems like this is getting worse and worse each time an official report comes out. 3 dead (2 children and 1 elderly person)….

Does anyone have any positive news to report? Anything official on AD being conscious etc etc?

Not concerned right now with who’s at fault, will he stay w/Miami, anything football related, etc etc.

Also, saw the twitter guys video and saw Brooklyn’s response. I think context is King and also think that two things can be true at once. Banning the SRTs aren’t necessarily going to change or solve kids speeding because you can speed in a frickin Toyota Camry - main difference is instead of the recipient of the crash taking the worse of it, no one in either vehicle likely makes it.

At the same time, kids out here with little to no driving experience (unsure of ADs experience so speaking in general) essentially have rockets under their car hoods - and this CAN BE dangerous because they don’t understand how to AVOID accidents even if they’re NOT THE CAUSE of an accident.

But all in all, you’re not gonna be able to ban certain vehicles. Coaches/Programs, maybe even the NCAA simply needs to mandate automatic suspensions if players receive more than 1 speeding ticket per calendar year. Only way to wake these kids up are to make them sit down and watch - which SHOULD affect their NIL, which SHOULD get their attention.

If the above is correct, technically going 29 over so maybe that's why no court hearing.
Cops will give you breaks all the time

I can attest to getting breaks in my younger years. Say you were going 18 mph over, they’ll write the ticket for 14 MPH over so it’s only 3 points on your record instead of 4 points and also a cheaper ticket

    • 3 points: Speeding 15 mph or less over the speed limit.
    • 4 points: Speeding 16 mph or more over the speed limit.

This is a most unfortunate accident for the families involved with fatalities along with the guilty party. I don't want to rush to judgement but I was in this industry for over 20 years. If the reports are true about Hayes he will have to deal with this tragedy for the rest of his life. This puts Mario in a tough situation but the only right thing to do is let this kid go. His mind will not be on football, he's going to need plenty of counseling, and he may face jail time. Either way it's a terrible situation and this could have been avoided given the past driving record of Hayes. God Bless both families and I think we all have a heavy heart for all three victims.
