Adarius Hayes Charged in Deadly Crash

It looks like the vehicular homicide charges are 2nd degree felonies (3 counts), and then a third degree felony charge for the reckless driving causing bodily harm.

Is the vehicular homicide only a 2nd degree felony because he stopped to check on the victims in the other vehicle, and it wasn't a hit and run? IF so, that charge is up to 15 years in prison.

Amazing how lives change in the blink of an eye. And we can blame this on a lot fo things, but it is mostly just about a young person making a bad decision. 30 year old Adarius Hayes would not have driven that fast as his brain would have further matured.

The frontal lobe of male brains (effectively the brakes on our emotions) does not fully develop until we are 25 years old. Unsurprisingly, most of our bad decisions are made before the age of 25.

I find myself starting with the words, "I once used to . . . never mind. I still do that . . ."

And I haven't seen the age 25 in decades.

Some folks though, seem to tempt the world order - and will still make a bad decision, even when asked, "Do you prefer paper or plastic?"

Henry Ruggs was going faster and under the influence, but still a woman and a dog dead and he's serving 3 to 10 years as a result of a botched blood test that would give him the DUI and whatever mandatory minimums the state of Nevada has...so the 3-10 is plea with a cushy gig while he serves his time.

Adarius supposedly not under the influence, but killed three people going double the speed limit...as laid out here could be 15 years.

The bullet proof mentality of late teens and early 20’s.
Add in a 700hp vehicle. Recipe for disaster.

Not to mention the scooters and motorcycles weaving recklessly across traffic lines and intersections. There’s virtually no enforcement either. I can’t recall the last time I’ve seen someone pulled over before they’ve caused an accident.
No, they sit and run radar. That catches speeders, but not the most dangerous, the weavers playing NASCAR.

95???

THIS IS ON MY EVERYDAY COMMUTE TO REGULAR STREETS IN SOUTH FLORIDA.

THESE KIDS DONT NEED AN NIL EITHER TO DO IT...THEY ARE DRIVING LIKE THIS IN BUCKETS, RENTALS, AND TURO APP CARS.
SEEN SOME KIDS LIKE 18 IN LAMBORGHINI SUVS JUST ZOOMING ON THE REGULAR.

And YEA HAYES is Cooked. He is gonna sit for a long time on this with all those deaths....i dont know if he has a good enough lawyer to deal with it his bond is high as ****.

He probably gonna get about 10 years at minimum
It isn't just the kids. I was back in Miami in February and every freeway and major thoroughfare was like that and it was people of all ages. Almost always dudes. Swerving in and out, speeding, no signals, no merging. It's wild.

Also, if it's a first offense he can plead down to vehicular manslaughter and possibly not do time but his UM career is over.

Welp get ready for the national media to jump all over this before the Catholics vs convicts game. SMH so sad.
Yup, must be having an impact on the team as well. They've been working out and practicing with this guy this whole time? Nuts.

Absolutely senseless and reprehensible. You see people driving like that all over South FL. Whatever it is, it’s not worth dying nor losing your freedom over.
Why I hate driving the beltways around Baltimore and D.C. when go down that way to the airports, it’s crazy watching people, no blinkers, just driving in and out of lanes like nothing.
