I didn’t say that, I said I always assumed Rad was the first choice and then Jurich. All I know for 100 % is a decision was made. I said when they fired Blake it would be fast , Blake’s fate has been sealed for a minute.

Mullen's buyout doesn't go down for 2 years. Mario and Mannys' buyouts both decrease in December I'm pretty sure.
January for Mario..

Sure feels like that's exactly what is happening.

And if feelers have already been put out to Mario and he's said he is interested, you would think he would have been informed about the general direction the AD position was going in. I highly doubt he would want to work under a first time AD with so much on the line.
Hope so, but when the news came out that we were engaging a search firm, that signaled a move away from Jurich.

I think people are giving Tony a bad rap. First, he went to school at Miami, and worked at Miami. He knows the school and knows the issues. Tony left when he saw the problems and he saw them earlier than most of us. He has also done well overseeing Mens Basketball and Football at Texas Tech.

I don't disagree with anything you say about Tony's resume. But my impressions of him while at UM do not scream "strong leader", and unless he has taken a ****-ton of leadership classes at Texas Tech, I'm not sure how that would have changed.

I've been trying to warn people about Tony Hernandez for a long time. The fact that he actually tried to make a basketball hire while he was interim AD here and embarrassed all parties involved should've killed his career as fast as clogged arteries will kill him.

I'm not getting overly emotionally invested in any rumors yet but I am now looking at enrollment options at several grad schools so as I have a semi-respectable reason to support a new program if this one takes us down their predictable path again and hires the resulting lovechild if Paul Dee had f*cked a pastelito.

Tony is a super nice guy. But we can’t fire Blake then claim to be all in and hire a first time AD.

This. Fire James, commit $20-30m per year to the football budget, lay out grand plans for the athletic department and you hire……tony?

Also makes no sense to misdirect especially using jurich as a misdirection - guy has been out of the game for 4 years.

To do background checks. You can do and should do these especially with the ones who have been fired or released.
I hope so. Jurich would be an absolute home run. Even more so that Radakovich, to me. Whatever news there was posted from the Louisville side and boards makes me hopeful. I guess we shall see.
